I'm mostly African American but my great-great-great grandfather on my mom's side was Chinese. I would like to try my hand at wall making sometime. Ironically, I'm terrible at picking plants- because most of my black ancestors weren't slaves- on my dad's side we were whale hunters and we were slaveowners on both sides, maybe that why I have a thing for whips and chains... also, a lot of my white ancestors were German... enough said.

The Ghost of Human Kindness was my favorite bit in this episode, but the sheer joy you got from the Great Wall of South Park and the Mongolians made me much deeper appreciation for that gag. That's why your channel is important. It allows us to view old favorite episodes with new eyes.

This episode actually stems from a time when Matt and Trey visited China at one point and saw the great wall, where they were told about the Mongolians attacking the wall in ancient times, and Matt and Trey were imagining one lone angry Chinaman building the wall by himself and screaming at the Mongolians. Next thing they knew, they themselves were shouting from on top of the wall "God damn Mongolians! Don't you break my wall!" and all the Chinese people just looked at them both funny 😂

On one of their old VHS videos, they show photos of their trip to China and then reenacting the Tiananmen square massacre. Lol. I believe it was the conjoined fetus episode

@brownstarslots indeed, it was the intro video for conjoined fetus lady. I remember because that was the episode that Chef took the kids to play dodgeball against China, with those 2 Chinese commentators making racist remarks about Americans 😂

This episode was the epitome of my great childhood. "Goddamn Mongorians" was later also my favourite victory scream after obliterating people in Age of Empires II with Mongorians, obliterating their shitty warrs.

The Ghost of Kindness is based on the Ghost of Christmas Present from "A Christmas Carol". Charles Dickens based the character on Father Christmas.

If there's any character in South Park that I can smile at the antics around him, it's Tweak, the poor kid is screwed so badly it's beyond belief, imagine being so wracked with nerves and only able to drink coffee. His noises in this episode are hilarious to me.

The Ghost of Human Kindness/Scooby "meddling" line reminds me that when Tasting History With Max Miller tried an old recipe that said to "meddle" (or as a modern recipe would say, "muddle") the ingredients together, Max pointed out that at the recipe was published, the word meddle or muddle, with its image of crushing and mixing thing together, was a euphemism for sexual intercourse, and he said that learning that gave "those meddling kids" from Scooby-Doo a whole new meaning.

The south park creators went to China to see the great wall, and a tour guide was explaining to them how in ancient times the Mongolian soldiers would try to knock it down at various points, and Matt and Trey were laughing as they imagined one lone angry Chinaman building the wall himself and shouting at the Mongolians as they knocked his wall down 😂
