At least Eric invited Kyle to his party, unlike in season 7 when Kyle didn't invite Eric to Casa Bonita. Eric did find a way to get invited, even though it meant spending a week in juvenile hall. Was it worth it? Totally!

Mr. Mackee was a very helpful and open minded counselor in this episode. He understood that it's not Damien's fault that he's the son of the devil and kept working to find a solution for him to make friends.

Eric Cartman's birthday is listes as July 1,but this episode first aired in February 1998, and he was passing out invitations to his party at school. Also you better get him what you're supposed to get him for his birthday, or else he will beat you up and throw a temper tantrum.

Cartman in the earlier seasons is portrayed more like a naive, but little dumb kid. He is an asshole at times, but not the megalomaniac monster he is today. I like you to pay close attention on how Kyle and Stan constantly shit on Cartman, even when isn't doing anything. I think (even if Matt and Trey didnt intend it) being bullied by his "friends" pushed Cartman over the edge.

There's also this episode (one of the first ones) in which Eric's mom would intend on feeding him very high-calorie dessert.. even though he said he didn't want to. But when he turned to her with an actual problem, she just said "Eric, don't be difficult" or sth. So even Eric's mom was pretty negligent and uncaring. Even before he got an upper hand on her - and everyone. Ah yes, she also made him serve her clients (dressing up in some costume and carrying food around).

Well today as of this day Cartman is nowhere near the levels you speak of, seasons 5-19 were that Cartman but he's pretty long gone these days that's why south park not.as good as it used to be

FYI, back when the original Star Trek aired they introduced the Mirror Universe where everyone was the opposite of who they where in our universe, so good guys in our universe are bad guys there, the more the extreme good or bad the more the extreme reverse in the mirror universe, all the men in the mirror universe had Goatees, so they became a symbol of evil in tv and movies (the whole, never trust a guy with a goatee), so Satan having one is just yet another Star Trek reference, along with the part you cut, the "don't try to be a great man, just be a man" is from Star Trek First Contact, the full line is "don't try to be a great man, just be a man and let history make it's own decision".
