It's understandable why Kyle feels the need to intervene and help Heidi get away from Cartman. It's no secret that Cartman is a master manipulator and it's clear that he is toxic for Heidi. Kyle's intentions are undoubtedly noble, but it's important to recognize that it won't be an easy task. Cartman's behavior and tactics will make it difficult for Heidi to break away from him. Unfortunately, it seems like things have only escalated since Kyle's involvement, as Cartman continues to show his true colors. But I applaud Kyle for taking a stand and trying to protect Heidi from someone who is clearly not good for her. It may take time, but I believe Kyle's actions will ultimately lead to a better outcome for Heidi.

Hate to say it but when this came out I recognized so many toxic traits that I had (minus the racism and bigotry) with my relationship and I did not like what I saw. I could recognize it in other people, but not myself. Yeah, she dumped me. Yes, I freaked out about it like Cartman did. She was all I had known since I was 16, we were together for 23 years after all. When people say stuff like "I am going to un-alive myself, I am nothing without them, they were my world, etc." those are some of the biggest red flags. Unlike Cartman, I am happy to say that I sought therapy for it and I can hold my head up knowing I overcame that toxicity. Watching this again, brought back some less than stellar memories of those days but thankfully I became more emotionally mature, and securely attached because of it.

I really appreciate SP for showing this kind of relationship. Some people don’t like this season because they don’t like the Heidi-Cartman arc, but it’s honestly BARELY even an exaggeration. When you’re young and you don’t have many people in your life it’s so easy to get sucked into toxic friendships or romances. When I was in high school I had one friend. He was great at first. Then slowly, steadily, it changed. The year we graduated he actually DID hit me with his car on purpose. I was walking around the front to get in on the passenger side and he revved the engine to drive forward and pin me against the garage. He thought it was the funniest thing ever. I tried to laugh it off, but it, y’know, HURT. When he saw I wasn’t laughing, too, he got pissed off and said he didn’t know what I was mad about since, “Your fat ass did more damage to my car than it did it you.” And I STAYED FRIENDS WITH HIM FOR LIKE THREE YEARS AFTER THAT. If you have nobody and no example and no one speaks up for you, then all you have is what the other person tells you. Especially when you’re young.

Honestly the way Cartman manipulates Heidi is truly deplorable. And what's even more sad is how people like Kyle who wants to help her (even though I do agree that he's getting a little too involved when he really shouldn't) and people like Heidi's friends reinforce the notion that Heidi made a mistake going out with Eric to begin with and much like many of us we hate it when we're proven wrong and I think that denial and insensitive to try and prove she didn't make a mistake traps Heidi to believe she can fix Eric thus going back to him in the end and Eric uses that uncertainty to his advantage once again playing the victim, blaming her and rubbing his own toxic traits onto Heidi. Truly sad how she's only like 10 years old and she has to get dragged into such a toxic relationship

@KJetixsSuccessor6 ай бұрын
To explain why Cartman “switches,” all the time; it’s the same reason why he dose stuff in general, and the same reason he thinks he made the “Fish d-ks” joke: Control. And the dilution to have that control no matter what. Basically he wants Hidy to be different because she’s not the *kind of* girl he wants, but refuses to break up with her and vice versa because otherwise he’ll lose control over her as well as look bad on the social aspect of being dumped. Which is why he pulls all the stops to make himself the victim if he’s losing, and groom Hidy into his ideal girl. But that kinda backfired a bit because she…well just see what she becomes later and you’ll see. Extra: Btw, I don’t think Kyle is over stepping. True you can’t save those who don’t want to be saved, but giving up on them just because you don’t know them and you can *see in front of you* that they’re in a bad situation, yet haven’t given it you all or even half of your all, is just as vile as what’s happening. You can’t mind your own business when good and evil are on the line. ……But yeah Hidy’s an idiot for listening to Cartman at the end. 😂

I’ve never been in a relationship with a man that doesn’t respect his mother. In the past I’ve seen men I’m dating treat their mothers like crap and it’s a wrap. Unless something terrible has happened to someone in the past because of their Mumsie, it shows you how a man treats a woman in a relationship how he treats his Mum. Me and my fiancé got home a few hours ago from dinner with his family. It was his Mummas, birthday so obviously we turned up at the restaurant with flowers, wine, chocolates and other goodies for her! We didn’t have any money between us but we treated her right! Before my fiancé, I had an ex that would buy me flowers once a year on Valentine’s Day and then proceeded to get angry at me about the cost. My man buys flowers for his Nan and his mum too anytime he wants to buy me flowers. He told me he was doing like a confession! I said ‘Nah man go ahead, it makes me love you more’ x

Just to clarify the context. Many of the things cartman does is normal with abusive Codependent people. But in this scenario Cartman is Trump and Heidi is the average Trump supporter. When Kyle is asking Heidi about how cartman is doing as a boyfriend. It's the same type of questions reporters would ask Trump supporters during this time. They could rattle of 10 things he did that wasn't normal. Not realizing that the way they did it meant they could no longer admit that they had fallen for the biggest snake oil salesman in history. To the point where people doubled down so hard he will likely win again.
