Fun fact: in his book, prince Harry says that he killed 25 talibans in Afghanistan. The talibans response was that they didnt suffer any casualties the days were the prince was present in combat, and basically call him liar

His own General--remember His commander-in-chief was HMTQ--came out saying diplomatically that Harry was kept VERY FAR from any danger. He had six guards 24/7, he was called ‘Bunker Harry’ because he stayed in his tent, getting high and playing video games. His only ‘kills’ were in ‘Call of Duty’. He had the nerve to be upset his ‘service’ ended abruptly due to a publication showing where Prince Moron was, a publication HE HAD CALLED TO TAKE PICTURES OF HIM FOR PHOTO OPPS. It prompted a kidnapping attempt and two of his guards died. Did he go to their funerals or send condolences to their families, flowers?? That’s a big ‘NO!’ The Queen called him home and he pitched a tantrum over ‘unfair it is!’ He didn’t even put those men up for heroism medals! Good riddance, him being there was placating someone not worthy to be among soldiers.👋👋👋

New love ‘from crime-ridden neighbourhood’", or "EXCLUSIVE: Harry's girl is (almost) straight outta Compton: Gang-scarred home of her mother revealed - so will he be dropping by for tea?", then yeah, it's fair to say that racism plays a roll in things. Like how have we gone from "Hey, don't harrass Brittany Spears with media attention, it's stupid and serves no constructive purpose" in 2008, to "Um, actually, it's completely fair for Meghan and Harry to be targeted by tabloids, because they bring that up a lot" in 2023?

As a Dutch woman who because I live in a monarchy that's cousins with the British, knew about the drama they actually faced in the England (spoiler, its not racism but the rumors of Meghan and Harry spending money lavishly, as Royal Families are basically funded by the general public and there are rules attached to how they are allowed to spend it and Meghan bullying her staff). They've been taking advantage of Americans' ignorance on how things work in a monarchy, and they also had a free stay in my country funded by our government after they moved to America because they are related to our royal family, and the Dutch workers of the event they organized were massively underpaid (this was during the pandemic where job opportunities were very limited too). A lot of people don't like them because of their whiny, entitled behavior, and I just love South Park's commentary. It's great to see Americans finally realize what a shitty couple they are.

There’s an understanding when you join the royal family. We will take care of any problems you may have, and you will never have to worry about money. In return, we ask that you act dignified, carry out royal duties amounting to a few guest appearances/ light charity work, and not talk to the press about our private matters. Everyone knows this, and you can take it or leave it. Meghan of course has chosen secret option C. There’s always a secret option C if you feel you deserve it! I’m glad that most people can see her for the grasping brat she is, and I’m interested to see where this goes.

Funny enough, this episode itself made me realize that South Park is one of the very few entertainment shows left in modern broadcasting that is able to tackle these kind of topics with little care of the repercussions. It's more like, it's the only show remaining allowed to. South Park is pretty old, when it first aired you could get away with a lot. Over time South Park used this to comment on current sensitive topics. The only reason they are still allowed to do this is "because it's South Park!". If you would create a show like this nowadays, no matter how good the message is, not matter how politely you cover a topic. You will be taken off the air and treated like a devil. Heck, it's not like people *don't* try taking South Park off the air, it's just become big enough where it can stand on it's own and doesn't get affected as much by idiots trying to impose their own opinions on society.

One thing I've also noticed with these two most recent episodes--and maybe this is just me--but they feel a lot less mean spirited. Yeah, they're still filled to the brim with mocking topical events, but it's nice to see the characters actually be sympathetic to one another. Even prince Har--I mean, uh, even the prince of Canada is given a second chance by the boys and that was weirdly wholesome to watch. I think maybe that's what's kept me watching South Park, while other adult animated series haven't kept my interested. A lot of them are just so cynical, and I get a sense that none of the characters actually really care about each other, and t's nice to see South Park not fall into that style of writing with the newest season. I can't believe I'm actually excited for what's in store for the rest of season 26!

That's so interesting, because I got the opposite impression from this episode. It felt extremely mean-spirited, and while I don't give a shit about how Meagan Markle feels about it, I didn't feel entirely comfortable with how they kind of gave the Prince a pass at the end, once he realized what a harridan his wife was and left her. It felt... I hesitate to use the word mysoginistic, but that was the impression I got by the end of the episode if we're being honest. Prince Harry isn't just some doofy decent guy who was seduced by an evil woman. He's a whiny spoiled crybaby, but the way this episode made it all about Meagan Markle just felt mean to me.

@@SRosenberg203 I can definitely see where your impression comes from, but my take is that I don't think they were totally blaming the wife, I thought they were commenting that she had spent all her life caring too much about how she was seen by others and therefore ended up empty inside. I thought that was what they were getting at when they mentioned that she'd had a CumHammer membership since childhood, whereas the Prince had been added later -- that he'd spent less time than she had with that sort of outlook on identity. Which, as someone female-presenting, I've found, in my experience at least, that young girls are raised to buy into that outlook more than young boys are. Maybe that's where the almost-misogynistic undertone comes from? Anyways TLDR I thought the point of pairing that scene where the Prince leaves his wife with Kyle criticizing CumHammer and essentially talking about how damaging of a mindset the whole brand thing is, was more of commentary on how you can't really love and understand someone whose only sense of self comes from their "brand", with a healthy side of making fun of the royal family. Not just endlessly ragging on Meghan Markle, although even if it were, it is a little funny.

The ending was so sweet. The boys didn't care about Kyle's identity or that he was "working on himself". From the start, all they wanted from Kyle was for him to just show up. And instead, they came to look for him to offer a hand.

With the controversy surrounding the episode now and the couple weeks off, I'm hoping that the end of the episode leads to the Prince becoming a semi regular member of the crew for the rest of the season. Not even to make fun of him. Just have him be a normal character who likes playing the drums. Perfect way to show that they couldn't care less about the threat of a lawsuit.

One of South Park's greatest strengths is when they can puncture an obvious hypocrisy. Making people mad purely because they aren't afraid to point out the obvious. I have no hate for Harry/Meghan, but the episode is spot on and it's nice to see it draw on the wider theme of 'personal branding'.

the parody refers to IRL tactic of Meghan hiring Sunshine Sachs, a PR company, to PR her way to fame and fortune instead of talent or skill or notoriety. The stuff with Prince Harry and his wife definitely flew over my head a bit because I was definitely NOT up to date with all of that stuff, but I LOVED the other aspects of the story like the "brand" stuff and people shouting that they want things but taking actions that are antithetical to what they say they want. I guess hearing you expand on the stuff Harry and his wife did after the Queen's death rings mainly the hypocritical actions as MAINLY about them but still applies broadly to a large amount of people. The brand thing is definitely one of those things that was like "Oh the internet really does subconsciouslly try to push this on everyone" that hit like a truck. I do my best to just be myself but it still hits when you have friends that are trying to break into the content creation sphere and aren't completely playing to their full true selves. Also every brand having victim is like... super hilarious since its a go to "thing." Also did anyone else get Cartman vs Wendy vibes from Bebe and Butter's fight from little we saw?

I disagree. Before, and during their engagement, Megan and Harry had extensive conversations with the queen, Prince Charles about what their role would be. They were offered several different options and asked about their preferences. They both insisted that all they wanted to do was serve the monarchy. Being a working Royal is a life of duty and service. Meghan thought it should be about celebrity and having people wait on her. She spent more on clothes in one year than every senior royal woman in Europe combined! The whole reason they were given that multi million dollar wedding, the titles, Frogmoor… Is because of their pledge to spend their lives as working Royals. So fine, then they change their minds. They didn’t have to throw grenades on their way out the door. Their treatment of the royal family has been unkind, disloyal, and disrespectful in the extreme.
