@windknife The minimalist animation makes it so they can focus on hilarious ideas. I think it's funny when they do shit like having Stan's mom literally throw him onto the bus or whenever someone falls or jumps, they just kind of go up without bending their legs... it's efficiency, not laziness. If the plot and the dialogue wasn't always so god damned fuckin hilarious, it might come off as lazy, but that is never the case

@daddytangee The shitty, minimalist animation was part of the reason I loved the show. Now it's gone AND they're being lazy by doing a show based on whatever happened that week. I mean, come on, an ENTIRE episode with the only joke being Cartman saying "why don't you fuck me"? NOTHING that lame ever entered the minds of Matt and Trey in seasons 1-9.

Well episodes of the Simpsons are generally teeming with content. On the surface, they have timeless stories about life which anyone can relate to, then they have tons of jokes, visual gags, and pop culture references all cleverly written into the script. You’re being bombarded with jokes every second. You simply can’t create such a densely packed episode in a regular show’s production schedule, much less one week. South Park can still be funny and brilliant, but no episode can be as good as the Simpsons’ episodes simply because they don’t have as much time to be fleshed out.

@tpstrat14 the bad animation is still there, it is just flows better now, and the voices are better now, and you can't say they are lazy because you are on youtube calling people lazy so stop with that crap, they can make an episode within a week(you call that lazy), and lastly they still have a huge fan base so spout out your opinion as as much as you want, it doesn't change the fact more people watch it....one of my favorite episodes is how they make fun of nascar lol good stuff

@TMusic5 These days they'll get a hold of an idea that may be funny for a minute and they drag it on for 30 minutes. For example, in the first episode of this season Cartman kept making various jokes about being "fucked" (aka screwed over). "Lube me up before you fuck me" "Wine and dine me before you fuck me" That got old so fucking quick. They need to get back to their roots. I mean, nearly every episode of the first 9 seasons was just plain amazing. Since then, it's gone downhill drastically.
