Butters was traumatized, because carman told him that Cartman died. Cartman thinks he’s dead because his friends decided to just ignore him. The gang ignored him because he ate the fried skin off of all of the kfc chicken and left the meat for them... Cartman made Kenny cry with that.

5:45 It was the episode where Cartman thought he was dead and is a ghost that only Butters can see. His parents think Butters is going insane as a result. But Cartman only thinks he's dead because everybody, but Butters, was ignoring him after he pissed them off.
