South Philly Mummers are the Best. I was part of the first group of girls in mummers brigade back in 1982. Greatest experience of my life strutting up Broad Street. My father did the brick work at the mummers museum. Happy New Year. Joey and Snuff 2024 🎉

The Mummers play goes back over 1,000 years in the U.K. - I live 20 mins from the historic Mummers of Marshfield. Loved seeing some of the great history of South Philly. With the USA once again showing the world, whatever they do, it’ll be bigger & better!

It’s so bitter sweet, the end of the Kenny Era, with his administrations vendetta to end South Philadelphia Mummers and how amazing South Philadelphia is doing, as a community and the amazing residents of South Philly like my pals Joey and Snuff, Butchy D, The Vikings, the Pirates. I had a next-door neighbor that was from Philadelphia and he used to do this dance and talk about. It’s the mummers strut, and that he danced in the mummers parade pretty cool to put eyes on what he was actually talking about other than the dance he would do.

My mother was born in Portsmouth England cos my grandfather was stationed there in the British Navy just after World War II. That brings these Philly USA guys close to home for me. Mad! Funny how my first intro to the Mummers was in Wildwood when the NJ American Legion has their annual convention. We had our parade on Saturday and the Mummers did one on Sunday. Anyone know why Mummers do a Wildwood parade in June?

It's summer mummers and is done for the camaraderie, friendships and family to come together throughout the year. Being a mummer isn't just a one day a year thing on new years day. All the mummers clubs work year round. And summer mummers is basically a vacation in north Wildwood to promote the Mummers. It's awesome! .

Durham, NC in the house! Ive been to Philadelphia, PA one time. Villanova basketball Camp when I was 15 years old.... Had a REAL steak and cheese and didnt get to really learn about historic points and places and events but Philly kind of reminded me of Durham..Supersized.... Lots of history here in Durham as well. I’m not ready to fully commit here, but I will say this I know a little bit about Joey because they made enough documentaries on what went on and I can kind of see why he survived all that now because he’s ferocious he gets on the podcast world, and he just going hard Carries himself right which should be no surprise and he’s a man of the people man of the community I don’t wanna get into what he may or may not have done but I know what he’s doing right now and it looks like he’s helping his neighborhood out.
