The best part of this video is when Sal said “the best cheesesteak is one made at home”. Get a beef knuckle and slice it thin, sauté it in a pan with onions. I like mushrooms.

This inspires me to do what I've been talking about which is starting a business where I cook out of my house, then do pick up or delivery. Create my own LLC, then make a menu with a few selections of food, get a credit card reader, become legalized as a credible business to take credit cards, and wham bam Market on social media and I'm good to go. No restaurant or location needed, and Ive been practicing cooking for 14 years now, shit I love cooking soo much I transitioned my career to cooking, as that's my full-time job now of days.

Looks amazing! I'm from McClellan st. I'd ask not to mix my cheese or gut my bread(looks too good to waste). I prefer to leave the cheese on top after steaming then slice my roll and place it on top of the cheese. Let the roll sit and soften a bit. Then take the long spatula to scoop & flip onto the roll. Nevertheless, this is a true authentic cheese steak. Much success to the bul. Shout to The P! Subscribed!!!

Yes! The only difference between each basic cheese steak besides the condiments is the choice cut meat and the roll. Cheese Steaks are over rated in my opinion! If Cheese Steaks were exclusive there wouldn't be so many people making them all around in Philly.

I would only suggest cookign onions separately... You can fridge them for at least 2 days... Super soft onions make the cheese steaks...
@randymathews3348Ай бұрын
No! I hate shops that do that. The meat must marry w the onions, it doesn't taste the same doing them separately.
@ChristianHowellАй бұрын
@@randymathews3348 Maybe I should have said prep... Then you can put them in a container for the grill... Any Philly cheese steak shop will have a pile of cooked onions on the grill.. That way since the steak cooks so fast you're just heating the onions back up... WHEN YOU MIX THEM INTO THE MEAT...
@randymathews3348Ай бұрын

As a backyard cheesesteak chef myself, my only advice is to spread a thin layer of mayo on that sub roll and sprinkle a generous amount of black pepper on the mayo. Then wrap up that beautiful "sangwich" in paper or foil and let it rest for 10-15 minutes.
