The lateral line on a dab turns into a D towards head, like you said thay are see through, point be safe try not to put rods on floor, you will one day stand on them, but really hood whiting.

So you think you could use kipper as bait as it’s very oily and smelly , and do you know if you can use smoked makerel as bait let me know please and thank you

Never used kipper just mackerel & bluey I used to go to Morrisons and get mackerel and other stuff from the fish counter and use that as bait prawns works too seen people catch on them too

your biggest problem is fishing the river mate. Not gona catch nowt but tiny fish there fellas.

You can catch big fish in the rivers
