𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 - 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘁! No doubt about it that some of the scenes are very bleak and unwelcoming: I recognise them from my own walks there in 2005 - sun, blue skies, a lovely breeze, replaced the next day by gales, rain, hail, fog, cold and misery!! Top marks for holding up and getting the walk done with all that water creating a PITB! 🤣

@@hikingsolo Didn't a few lengths of that rope come in handy to you for ascending the big dune on leaving camp?? Rubbish is a major problem all around Tasmania now. The wild southwest may be so in nature and reputation, but people are global travellers, and the rubbish you see is flotsam and jetsam, and just plain laziness. I have come across mountains of rubbish and seabirds that have been strangled by fishing line.

Love the Sainsbury's bag 😁 They boardwalks look good compared to that scrub. That hut looked good in that weather. Still wish I got to Tassie in ma early 20s. Maybe one day tho. You done The Overland Track?

Yes, but that was 25 years ago. It's a lot busier there now, I've heard. Still amazingly beautiful though!
