I was at that game. As a proud Saints Fan & an Australian I wore a Black Akubra with corks hanging from it. What a Day ! I also took a red seat . I have a Brick at the new St Mary’s saying Aussie Saint Robert Apsey. I’m now back home in Australia, but still follow the Saints ❤️

I remember going to that game, what a day it was the atmosphere was phenomenal and the stadium erupted when it went in the back of the net.

I was there. That wonderful final goal is etched in my memory, probably my favourite memory ever from a live match (matched possibly only by that great day at Dellhurst Park). I had a Dell season ticket for years. Those were the days. I renewed my season ticket in the corresponding position at St Mary’s for its first year, but the atmosphere was never the same and I did not renew for a second year.

Pretty decent team then. Unfortunately the present team couldn't hold a flickering light to them.

I mean unless you desperately needed the points for winning the title or staying up, I would always want the opposing team to win there last game if we played in it as it’s always a great feeling for all fans (except the scates though!).

What a game to REMEMBER! Unfortunate that St Mary’s could never have the same LEGENDARY atmosphere as the Dell did!

St. Mary, as nearly almost new "football stadiums", are plastic stuff, with little of the local traditions, architecture... Well, luckily St. Mary's ain't as bad as emirates or itihad... Millwall kept alot of its tradition with the New Den🏴... Liverpool, Newcastle, Rangers, Celtic, Man United, are examples that it's possible to revamp and modernise and no lose its roots, architecture...

What were the banana's for? Was it charity? And who is hosting with Claus and Le Tiss
@TheRatlord744 ай бұрын
When they talk about being professional at the end. Being professional has made the game sterile and boring to watch.
