Dude I love the review! I have a MK7 GTI and heading to Stage 2. I was looking at the SB Daily Stage 2 kit and you definitely helped me solidify my choice. Keep up the great work!

Watched this review before purchasing my SBS3D.. watching again shortly after picking my GLI with SBS3D + 034 RMS installed 🤘🏿 replaced trans fluid with the Redline cocktail and it's way quieter than expected..

Thanks a ton for the thorough review. Just got EQT stage 1 93 like you had initially, and experiencing the same thing with the clutch slipping almost immediately. Debating whether to commit to a new clutch or flash down to a lower Cobb tune for the winter...

I just installed my Southbend Stage 3 Endurance clutch on my MK7 GTI 2 days ago, and I’m still breaking it in, but WOW! There is very very very very little clutch chatter. Almost zero clutch chatter! Even with the A/C on low or full blast. It’s amazing! My DKM Stage 2 clutch had so much more chatter! So far SB FTW!! I’ll be doing my review and comparison when I’m done with break-in.

Dude, excellent review! This mostly solidifies my choice for my clutch upgrade. A couple questions: 1. Do you think this clutch would be "overkill" for just my Mk7 Golf R EQT stage 1 tune (91 oct)? I haven't decided yet If I want to go stage 2. 2. What thicker oil did you say you swapped for? Thanks!

I don't think it is overkill at all, If i were you i would buy a clutch that is a little bit of an overkill in case you do want to go stage 2 ( which you will ). The oil i swapped to is Amsoil Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear lube - 75w-90

Is it harder to shift on the stage 3 clutch? I'm relatively new to manual and have only ever driven stock, but am looking at picking up a car with this clutch.

It depends on what exactly you mean by “harder to shift “ if you mean harder to push the clutch to the floor, then yes it takes a little bit more force to press the clutch down to the floor when shifting, but it’s not that bad at all, and you will get used to the force in a very short amount of time. If you mean actually moving the shifter in and out of gears, then the answer is no, it doesn’t change that part of shifting.

It’s the Raceseng Contour, and I really like it, it lowers the shift ball down a little bit and adds some much needed weight, it’s a little cold in the winter but not that bad.

What tune do you have? And how’d you get launch control

I am running the EQT stage 2 tune. And you add the ability for launch control when you tune your car.

When u got your clutch in the mail was in plastic?

No, it was just in the box mocked up with the pressure plate

@@PinozcyclezandridezYea it’s a pretty heavy box, so I’m not surprised that it is a little beaten up, if it’s just a little bit of paint scuffed off the pressure plate I wouldn’t worry.
