He is very lucky to have found someone that didn’t push him and his depression away and instead wanted to stay by him and help him. Not many people have someone like that, and are suffering alone

Also I think dancing gave this man confidence, confidence for him to overcome depression, not a distraction. You can't merely recover from depression by dancing. A lot of people don’t make a living exercising but they do it for their health and well-being, which keeps down cost from medical bills. These people dance as their daily exercise - in this sense, it does help with bills by keeping them healthy.

I appreciate its your opinion, but as someone's who's had two bouts of cljnical depression i can tell you NO ONE 'chooses' to be depressed. It's a terrible mental illness that no one CHOOSES. Perhaps learn a little more about mental bealth issues and how easy it is to be afflicted be fore suggesting we CHOSE to be so depressed that ending our lives seemed a viable option and, sadly, ends up being tbe road taken for some sufferers. I was suicidal and self harmed for 6 years, using my fingernails after my family hid anything sharp. Trust me when I say, I did not 'choose' to be like that. I am VERY happy this man fou d hia own appropriate coping mechanism. I, too, eventually found one. But my reality is, if I do not sfay hyper vigilent for the early warning signs, i could suffer a relapse. I havd no doubt that is why he dances every day, no matter what. Oh and mental health illness is NOT the flu and is NOT contagious - PLEASE educate yourself.

My point in the post is the negativity is contagious. So therefore don't surround yourself with negative people because that will feed depression. Positivity on the other hand can help it. I never said you "CHOSE" depression. That's ridiculous! I'm saying to choose who you let around you, if you try to surround yourself with positive people and things it will rub off on you. During my psych rotation in med school I once brought my guitar to the unit. There was a young man, diagnosed with schizophrenia, who had told me he played, so I offered him the guitar. @@yeye5078 yup. Can confirm. My father, when I was very young, was a huge alcohol addict. But my mom got him and our family through the tough times, even when others turned their backs. I'm really proud of her. And my dad for doing the right thing

I don't have a problem with the dislikes. At least they are genuine. But all these likes, I highly doubt most women who liked the video would stay around for longer than 5, 6...minutes, if their husband developed a condition from an accident. Women leave their perfectly healthy husbands and boyfriends because "it wasn't working out".

@@chex4214 --- Not me. My husband lost oxygen to his brain in 2009. I had to teach him how to eat with utensils, and how to bathe himself. For 6 months, neither one of us could sleep for more than 10 minutes at a time, around the clock. My husband was just out of the US Army and a poor man when I fell in love with him, 35 years ago. He was my best friend. He died of lung cancer last year on May 25th. I went into a year long depression and am just coming out of that now. THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE LIKE ME. There is no reason to hate Chinese people, they are just people like anyone else. The Chinese Communist Party, however, is a threat to dictating major changes in our own lives, is abusing Uigers, broke their agreement with Hong Kong, and is likely to soon try to take over Taiwan. This cannot happen without many Chinese people complying with them at the expense of others. So I hope the Chinese people will say no to these things, but it will cost many of the their lives, families, and what freedom they have now.
