​@@Hhhh22222-w Did you even watch the video? The guys in this group are also spending their whole days practicing, and they seem down to earth and humble. "Being yourself" isn't an excuse to be lazy. The video clearly shows that they're working just as hard as any other idol group. The only difference is that they're not being forced to follow diets that are detrimental to their health, and their managers seem to give them a lot more creative freedom. Many people are overweight because of factors outside of their control, especially children who don't get a choice as to what food they eat. If a child loves dancing and singing but believes they would never stand a chance because they're overweight, but sees a group like this doing well, and it inspires them to work hard at their own passions, how is that anything but positive? Since you seem to think you know a lot about kpop, would you say that Hwasa isn't a successful idol? She was called fat all through her training and producers said she could never be successful. What about PSY? He owns is own company and is extremely successful internationally. He's a similar weight to these guys. What about Shindong? He debuted as part of a "normal" kpop group, and was drastically heavier than all the other Super Junior members. He's very successful all the same. Saying that they can't be successful just because of their weight and calling them unattractive just shows that you have a very shallow and limited view of what makes a successful entertainer.

I found the words "be yourself" used more to encourage people so that they have more confident and not feel inferior about themselves against stereotypes, including beauty standards that could be very toxic in today's society. For some people that may take a lot of courage, too. I think the message this video tried to deliver is to encourage people by telling a story of these boys who want to achieve success in certain field, against the widely-believed as obstacles for them to reach that dream. And they work hard for that. So, for me ... no, that's not being lazy at all

The pressure for male idols is not the same as female idols, but there is a strong focus on certain beauty standards such as having a soft look or having extremely defined abs. They also have professional stylists and makeup artists, and they are often overworked, so if a young child sees this as their goal, they would either follow the same unhealthy activities or would not be able to achieve the same standards and might become dissatisfied with themself. Either way it could have a negative affect on either their physical or mental health.

I hope that if they need to lose weight for health reasons, that they are allowed to do so. My concern is if the gimmick/ concept is that they are chubby, that they feel pressured to stay a certain built for that purpose. Not fat shaming btw. Am not small sized myself. But visceral fat poses health hazards and losing weight isn’t always for vanity reasons but for health reasons. It was worrying for me that they had to eat a lot for their meals and it didn’t look healthy. As if they are pressured to stay large.

There was once a Korean girlgroup with similar concept but in the end they decided to go on a diet, became extremely slim in a time span of a year or so? And eventually lot of fans became upset and felt “betrayed”. I’m personally not against them dieting as long as it wasn’t under force, however, I do understand how the fans got upset. Now I really wish this boygroup last long, has a successful carrier, stay confident and comfortable with their skin!

I was in a local K-pop dance group and the pressure to stay thin, pretty and have long hair was quite challenging. No one pressured me directly, but everyone kept comparing themselves to the K-Pop idols and constantly complain about being fat. I’m the fattest girl in the group, I’m 158 cm and 57 kg, they are usually taller and me and all are definitely skinnier. So just looking at these beautiful men just exerting hard work but eating well just make me so happy for them!

It’s not the healthiest way of living but I’ve seen guys bigger than these guys squat, bench, deadlift weights over 200lbs. They can still go to the gym as much as they want but if they’re eating more then they need, they won’t lose much. They’re probably recommended to go to the gym and do the minimum so there won’t be any medical complications.

I love this because it teaches body positivity for boys ! There’s quite a lot of coverage for girls but lots of the time the feelings of boys are neglected and we don’t think about how boys may feel bad about themselves too. To my chubby boys, I love your body! You look great
