SEGE 2024. My second year in a row and WOW! This time the place was even bigger! Incredible experience once again. Had a blast checking out all of the games, the arcade and the panels! Most importantly though I had an amazing time meeting up and hanging out with so many cool KZbin friends. I did check out an awesome brewery I visited right before the pre party at Pinky's Revenge in Taylors SC. Very cool brewery called 13 Stripes with a roster of great beer on tap. If your in town for SEGE next year or any other reason you have to stop in and see this place and have a cold brew I guarantee you wont be disappointed. Unfortunately I didn't have a chance to get any to go beer from them. I did pick up this amazing Summer Blonde when I was down south though...shh...don't tell the wife. 😜

This convention is awesome! I have been twice now to SEGE and it’s well worth the trip. Admission is reasonable, plenty to do other than just shop and lots of cool people to meet up with. You should definitely go to one of these if you can. The beer in this one is freakin’ delicious! 🍻 I actually was looking to see if I can find a way to get it shipped to me. The original Wizard and Warriors was what I played as a kid and I knew about Ironsword and the Fabio connection but until I started chasing the NES set I didn’t know there was a third game either. It’s cool but I think the first two games are better (and cheaper). 😉

Thanks brother! I was pretty happy with what I grabbed. My list went out the window a bit though when I spent so much time and energy looking for certain items. Still had a blast though and came home with some solid goodies. I currently only have a couple of light gun games for the PS2 but am looking forward to seeing what else is out there. Still on the hunt for an orange guncon though to complete my big box Time Crisis 2 set. Dude…this beer was excellent! When I saw the brewery name it made me chuckle but when I drank the beer I was really impressed. Definitely a top recommendation from me if you find it anywhere. Wish I had grabbed a case before I came back home. 🍻 Our vacation was fun for sure! Been back to work for a week now and feel like the running has been nonstop until today…back to work tomorrow too. 🤣

They are well worth a visit if you get a chance. This is my only major con experience but I do have to say it’s impressive. You can find probably 90%of any of the major systems libraries and there is a lot of cool things other than shopping to do. 🍻🤙🏻

Dude! It would be awesome if you could get over here to SEGE! If you decide to I know a bunch of us would love to know so we can make sure we are at the event and be able to hang out. I would love to get advance to visit Scotland at some point in the future myself. I looked for a few hours the first day and couldn’t spot a copy of Blur anywhere. The second day my son was with me and I had all but given up on finding it. Was looking for some NES titles and he leans over and says “Hey dad, weren’t you looking for this one?” 🤣 These old eyes I guess.

You know…I need to get some Drink & Games with Josh T-shirts made up so I can travel in spirit too. 😉 When I packed my bag I grabbed y’all’s shirt because I knew you guys were gonna be there in spirit. Even though it wasn’t the same without all of the gang it was still a great time and everyone I met up with was super cool. I was treated to some southern hospitality by a different Canadian this year. I hung out for a few hours with RetroCart Collector (Keith) and had some fun. He is a solid dude! 🤙🏻 I managed to hit a few of the local craft breweries the last two years down there and have enjoyed. Good beer and atmosphere. 🍻 I know it would be a blast to be just the wife and I. I am sure it would be a whole different convention. 🤣

I have the black sega Saturn wireless controller, it’s awesome , gun controller on ps2 is definitely sweet . I love the signage. I really want to grab a few for my game room , I’m missing the bust a move games but I have one on ps1 so it’s just didn’t make sense to quickly grab . Oh I love D&D , pool of radiance is my personal favorite. SSI was king back then. Killer deal with killer tomatoes and chip and dale

I love the sign from The Retro Beard! Light up signs really make the Gameroom pop! I also figured I would never be able to locate or afford a real World of Nintendo sign so this would make a nice substitute.🤣 It looks awesome! I had plans to pick up a bunch more of the common games for the N64 but I ran out of time and energy. The convention was easily twice (maybe even three times) as big as last year. I was stoked to get DragonStrike and the deal for Chip and Dale and Killer Tomatoes was awesome! The vendors were all willing to deal so it was cool! Hopefully you will be able to go again next year dude! 🍻🤙🏻

I didn't know that Wario was a wrestler. 🤣🤣🤣 That's a fantastic sign! I was looking at those before but, they seemed to be pretty expensive. Great PS3 games, I do like blood drive. It's fun, you drive around and run over zombies. Who wouldn't love that. I played the attack of the killer tomatoes when I was a kid, can't find it nowadays. Great Video.

Thanks dude! Happened a couple weeks ago when I was at the convention actually. The video here came together fairly well but man when I put it together I realized that I desperately need a better mic and that I am not a very good cameraman either. 🤣 The Retro Beard makes some awesome signs! I think they are well worth the price. The fronts are interchangeable too so you can buy different ones from him and swap them out if you like. I have a serious soft spot for the PS3 myself. It’s my favorite modern console. I had seen a lot of good things said about Blood Drive and Vanquish and wanted to pick them up. I kinda feel like Killer Tomatoes is a bit uncommon for the NES. I have never seen it around anywhere local. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Time to watch your recap with baited and jealous breath. lol First of all, already digging that Fat Bottom can art; very nice. It's amazing to see how much SEGE has grown since our visit--so happy to see it getting so much love! Look at how much its arcade has grown, wow! You met some great people, many we enjoy watching and would be honored to get to meet up with; also, it's so cool seeing you pass out some sweet sleeves! Whoa, unexpected Wendy's goodness! Saturn Steve seems like such a cool dude. Retro Beard is a great guy; it's always great to run into him and he does some cool acrylic work. Some good game pickups too, a nice variety in console. I usually enjoy a good Bust-A-Move game. I think I tried out DragonStrike on an emulator and remember it being fun. When I saw that beer in the store the first thing I thought was…why don’t my grocery stores sell beer…and then Immediately the Queen song popped into my head like an ear worm. 🤣 Seriously dude! If you see this beer anywhere grab it! It’s super freaking tasty. Both my wife and I wish we would have grabbed a case to bring home. One of the best Blondes I have ever had. 😉 SEGE almost tripled in size from last year alone. It’s such a cool event. I don’t have any other major cons to base it off of but it just feels like a reunion though. Have been able to meet some super cool folks the past two years and it’s been a lot of fun! Saturn Steve is the real deal for sure. Super generous of him to think about me and reach out about the guncon. He is as funny in person as on camera. I did mix it up pretty well with the pickups but ended up with a lot of Nintendo NES as well for the set. Dude cut me a heckuva deal on Chip & Dale and Tomatoes! I totally wish I was coming to MoGameCon to hang with you guys and Fresh & Mary this weekend. I know you’re gonna have a blast! I am still on the hunt for an orange one to complete my Time Crisis II game, and so my son and I can check out any two player games. Currently I only have a couple light gun games for the PS2 (Ninja Assault and Time Crisis II) but am now looking to see what else is out there. I realized when putting this video together how bad quality my mics are and how bad of a cameraman I am. 🤣 To be honest I felt like the pricing was actually pretty good for most items that I was after. Some of the more high end games and collectibles though are utterly insane! I did pay up for the one NES heavy I picked up but it would be easy go crazy and I am sure some people do. 🤷‍♂️ I was quite happy to come home with what I did and to enjoy the experience with my son and all the Tubers that I have gotten to know. 🤙🏻
