@SoundofSilence4927 ай бұрын
@@kermitfroggie5334 Excuse me. I researched the topic nation wide four years ago and wrote a 30-some page synopsis for the local government I was employed by. Some people are salvageable they are the ones who are down and out on their luck, rent money, and job situation, but they have work skills and self-respect. They are typically families and can get back on their feet. Another large segment, the chronically homeless, don’t want help and don’t even want to sleep in a homeless shelter. They want to pitch a tent wherever, take drugs, trash their surroundings, and defecate whenever, panhandle and intimidate passers-by and basically just scrape by. We can thank Reagan that there are no mental facilities anymore to help them. This very large sub classification consist of drug and alcohol addicts, the mentally unstable, veterans with PTSD and violent personalities. Some have work skills but many do not. I’ve forgotten the exact number, but it was well over 20%, probably more like 30 or 40% of all homeless people, by the time you count the ones who will sleep in a homeless shelter, but will not look for work or ever become productive members of society again. Local governments nationwide have initiated programs to give them a secure place to stay, computer skills, education, clothing, anything anyone could need to make it out. Most programs have closed down in abject failure.

The only way to do something is pick them up and put them in job labors camps and maybe they’ll think twice before being homeless it’s crazy how I’m some 3rd world countries they don’t have this issues Americans have a drug problem an no one wants to work everywhere I go I see now hiring maybe that’s why they let in all these migrants because they are filling in the gaps of those jobs no one takes !!!!
