What people don't realize is that 1/3rd of the state is in the disaster zone. Imagine if 1/3rd of your state was devastated. This disaster is HUGE, it's not just the Ashville area. The NW part of the state is rugged mountains with hundreds of small communities. Those are the folks who are trapped. Those are the folks who will be struggling to survive the freezing temperatures without homes, heat, electricity or running water. Yes, Ashville was devastated, but the impact area is so much larger that what people realize.❤❤

For all the thousands of people affected, many animals have also died. And, many thousands more are without food. Large animals such as horses, cattle and other farm animals will be starving this winter. Barns, fields, hay and grain supplies have all been lost. Please donate to animal rescuse organizations like the NC Horse Council to help. ❤❤

My best friend who is currently in Asheville just texted me that someone on morning America claimed that the water was flowing in Asheville. While some places do have access to water, it is barely a trickle in some places, NONE of it is potable, and it may even damage appliances and folks with any water have been told to turn off access to ice maker, water heater, etc because all the sediment will cause damage
