That is what I was thinking. It is whipping round at a greater pitch than the original.

I was just thinking that. There must be a reason though. Timing maybe?

It looked like one of the flat cars was carrying a boiler and cab assembly for another locomotive. Pretty cool!

This is wondrous! New surprise: a 1" scale model of the Southern locomotive #4501! Love it!

Been to this track a few times, I’m partial to the daylight locomotive in 7.5. Love the look of the cars in this video in the smaller gauge better, because of the detail. All are equally sharp models

These people are awesome! They bring the locomotive every year to tvrm and run it beside the real locomotive!

I've seen a short video of this mikado on Facebook. I've been looking for more videos & pics of it FOREVER! Happy someone finally posted a video about it. I'm finishing a 1" scale CN Mikado project. Thanks for the cool video!

Search out the St Croix Live Steamers and MrJoesteam. The 4501 is on there lots of times.

Here's the link for MrJoesteam kzbin.info That is the 4501 home track in Goehner NE.

1" scale is really a perfect hobbies scale. Such a shame it's not more popular. The 4.75 gauge is great for narrow gauge as well to satisfy the ones looking for larger equipment but still share same track gauge.

Okay so stupid question only because i literally do not know anything bout these scaled down locomotives. But do they have to go thru inspections like the real ones do?
@DaleThePig4 жыл бұрын
They do. They go through a hydro test just like the full size to check for leaks or other problems. Safety is taken very serious by a lot of clubs and even the more lax ones still have a pretty thorough process.
