I’m glad they brought back the replica Central of Georgia 6 chime. They finally got the bell to ring properly. Before, it was really slow and not very good.

The ringer in the bell was actually not working which led to it being hand rung

Wait, it’s a replica? My understanding is that it has been used on 630 many times since the 80s, and was on 4501 a few times in that period as well.

@@brendangranger3684 it is a replica. It was made by a TVRM employee who was tired of hearing 4501’s Princeton whistle. He made it to replicate the sound of a Central of Georgia 6 chime whistle. The original Central of Georgia 6 chimes had their poppet valve levers on the top.
