@@gardenpartystudio I see your channel be a big one in less than a year . I see you already have lots of subscribers. But I can say there’s a good reason, everything I have watched is all good content, and very happy to see somebody here in the US who has an English style videos 😊.

Very nice. One suggestion would be to add Fragaria virginiana to your beds to help keep the weeds at bay. Wild native strawberries are delicious if you can get to them before the critters do, but the real benefit is the fact that they are very low-growing and will quickly fill in the spaces between your larger plantings without worry that they're competing. As they say, nature abhors a vacuum, so it's going to fill those bits of bare mulch unless you get the jump on it. Plus, as well as the Fragaria virginiana grows, you can cut right through it when you're planting your larger species without worry. You can move it to the side, but you certainly don't have to. As a ground cover and living mulch, I don't know if there's a better plant for that application.

That's such a good suggestion and an amazing plant. I have it in the shady beds in my garden and even woven through the grass - such a fun discovery this time of year for the kiddos, too.

@@gardenpartystudio I thought I had some native strawberry growing through my grass, too! Saw the bright red berries and was happy as a pig in mud. Then I found out it was false berry, a non-native from India, I believe. Not horribly invasive, mind you, more of a nuisance plant. Still a good reminder to plant more natives and hope it drives out the pesky fake things.

Note to self--grow more peonies. They look fantastic in bouquets. I have some white peonies with yellow centers, but I could use some in shades of pink. This was a great year for German irises. White, purple, light blue and maroon/mauve are mostly done, but I still have some yellow ones in bloom. Looking forward to what you will do with your meadow and orchard space.

You can *always* use more peonies! :) They're one of the best bouquet "anchors" there is. And yes, I just posted a video of the first part of meadow planning and creation!

Thank you for such an informative video. Would you please give me the name of the climbing rose , the white one on the wall near the irises.

Absolutely! Glad you found it helpful. The rose is Sally Holmes.
