BTW, I realized after recording this that the line isn't slapped (I had noticed that only certain parts of it sounded slapped, but I wasn't sure, then I saw a live clip that showed the bassist plucking the line and just plucking aggressively on the parts that sound slapped).

Yeah, it's a nice bass! And I don't want 6 strings because I'm a bassist, not a guitarist ;-). Seriously, though, I rarely solo, and I wouldn't play notes in a groove on a C string since that's too close to guitar/piano range for my taste. 5-string is perfect for me.

I'm actually planning to do a fairly complicated solo arrangement, but haven't taken the time to get it clean.
