As a home cook, I like to tweak recipes to suite my personal palate. This recipe from Paula Deen is the exception. Her sour cream infused pound cake is remarkable. I have baked it at least a dozen times and it never disappoints. The great news is that you can freeze it for later. Simply slice pieces, wrap with clear wrap, then foil & place in a freezer bag. It should keep for about 3 months.
Ingredients needed:
~ 2 sticks of butter, softened NOT melted
~ 3 cups of granulated sugar
~ 1 cup of sour cream
~ 3 cups of all purpose flour, sifted
~ 1/2 tsp of baking soda
~ 6 large eggs
~ 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Preheat over to 350, bake for one hour and 20 minutes.
Prepare bundt or loaf pan, greasing & flouring it prior to adding the batter.
