I can remember those days myself and my brothers I was like 5, 6, 7 years old and only time we got a chance to hear that music was on a Saturday morning on radio Trinidad for just 15 min. and sometime on evenings after school on a "Radio Guardian program Rolling Home" you might be lucky to hear a couple pan tunes, so on Saturday morning we will do all our chores early in the morning and at 10:45 to 11:00 my father will put on the radio so we can listen to some Pan, air play for Pan music was very limited and honestly "Man" we just could not get enough of it, when I became a teenager that irresistible spirit of Pan took hold of me, it did not went too well with my parents, but I was determined that is what I wanted to do and at 70 I am still consumed by that spirit Performing, Tuning, Writing, Arranging Pan Music. Thank you Michael Bonaparte for sharing those wonderful memories, the Bonaparte Brothers were a super talented musical family I was fortunate to meet one of the brothers in 1972, The younger brother Michael who is also very talented; and myself attended elementary school in the 1960s

Michael L J Scott He more than just a part of the band. he and your great uncle Belgrave were the part of the cadre of tuners of the band and they arranged the music. They were great musicians .How many pan men went on to form a top brass band in the 1960's?

I think my dad Conrad Marshall, AKA 'Bintim' would have known your grandfather. They were probably of the same generation. From what I understand La Brea was a pretty small community where everyone knew everyone.
