Boys Town Steel band was from Pt. Cumana, a village about a mile before Carenage. The band was led by Clem Bellerand. They won the first Steel band Music Festival in 1952, Playing "You Are my Hearts Delight.

To listen the pan of yesteryear is just undescribabley wonderful. It put us in such a mood, it could bring tears of joy & sadness. We grew up in a time to listen & play it in a proud way, you had to.bring that ❤arrangement, that was the way practice was, very important. then the captain pass by every pan to hear if you had the right notes, God bless us with a talent, that no one could take away from us, sweet pan Sweet T'N'T

Sometimes the only sound that kept me company, late at night, while studying for exams during schooldays. The sweet sound of Hatters practice floating down Broadway... in the still night!

The tuner of those background pas for SilverStars was none other than Stanley Warner of Sanjuan however he tried to sabotage the band mainly because of the part of the country they were from plus racial animus but sorry to say that was the stereotypical mindset of that era

Here I am in London during the Covid Lock down 2020, and listening to all the songs that reminds me of my childhood. I remember this tune playing and it brings back such lovely memories of my family with my parents and siblings. Wish I can relive those days. But for now I will listen and reminisce silently. Thanks to the composers of this steel pan tune, we don't hear them like this anymore. Thanks Silver Stars

Sponsored by SHELL..... In those days we were known as the " HARPS " ^^^^^^^ Those were good days. Before I left to go abroad I spent a few years with Star Lift....
