Traci was a 3-year captain and is largely responsible for the ultra feminine classy style that became the foundation of the Dolls’ brand. Not even KP or Stamper were as impactful as Traci was. I think Kaylon is overall a better dancer and she has that milky lyrical style like Kayla Pittman that people seem to love. Jada is great also though. Maybe they should make them both captains. They compliment each other.

Worked them no stop so that they can be tired and lazy at the end. Kaylon gave exactly what she needed and matched with the band perfectly. Both the sets jada showed were too much and way too similar. Jada clearly has the people's vote but I'm thinking in the eyes of the actual leaders Kaylon is going to get the spot, she clearly knows what she is doing.

GENUINE SMART Black women will be portrayed as sex objects whether they act sexy or not. Remember the first time black women were portrayed as sex objects was colonization when African women wore revealing clothes and had a more curvaceous bodies. They weren’t trying to be sexual. Secondly, there’s nothing wrong with being sexual and nothing wrong with owning your sexuality. However women choose to present themselves is their choice because it’s their body. Comparing HBCU dancers to strippers implies that only women who are sex workers for a living can be proud of their body. It also implies there’s something wrong with being a stripper. Do your research, since slavery black women have been using their sexuality and sexual agency as a way to liberate and survive. Strippers are just doing the same thing our foremothers did. Being classy and modest isn’t going to change people’s view on black women. That’s called respectability politics and it’s never worked. People are going to believe what they want regardless, confirmatory bias is real. And it’s sad you only think the best effort is being modest and not sexual. Teams with moves more overtly sexual put in just as much effort as everyone else. You really need to do some soul searching and think of how you’re perpetuating our oppression with how you’re shaming and denigrating college students under the guise of appealing to the moral sense of potential students. These kids don’t care. You’re the one who’s been brainwashed into believing these fallacies about our women.
