Great video. I love watching and listening to videos of college matching bands. It seems that at the historically black universities, it's like watching a game within the game with the 2 bands competing against each other am I right? I would love to check out a game one of these days, but sadly no HBUs in California.

Dr. Murray just found out he messed with the WRONG band director. Haymer hadn't forgotten about how Murray did both him and then Director of Bands at SU MR. J DIRTY back in 2010 with the infamous "POWER" Incident while Murray was Interim D.O.B at JSU. This was pretty much Haymer's payback game against Murray. And Doc Murray better think twice before trying to do the Jukes dirty again.

YUP!!! SU was one of 3 college bands at the 2010 Mississippi Battle of the Bands, the other 2 being Alcorn State(of whom Murray is now Director of Bands), and Jackson State(under the new direction of Associate Director of Bands, Roderick Little), and the Jukes were the 2nd to last band up with JSU being the last to perform. Then-Director of Bands, Lawrence "Crowley" Jackson, was getting ready to drop his hands for the Jukes to enter the field. But just as he was about to do it, Dr. Murray, Interim D.O.B at JSU at the time, had The Sonic Boom of the South crank "POWER" ALL OVER SU!!! Jackson and Haymer, who was Assistant Director of Bands at the time, were LIVID, screaming at Murray to get the Boom to stop playing, but he wasn't having it. 2 weeks later at the BoomBox Classic, SU blew "POWER" right back at JSU as they were walking off the field after their Halftime Show. JSU would go on to win the game on a last second Hail Mary, prompting the Boom to further get under the Jukes' skin by cranking "Do Whatcha' Wanna" on SU while telling them to GO HOME!!! The LAST STRAW came right after the 5th, when both bands had to play 3 and out. But did Murray live up to his end of the deal: NO! Not only did he have the Boom crank "POWER" on SU again as they were leaving the stands, he got both Mr. J and Haymer 38 HOT when he had the Boom crank SU's Fanfare #2 directly at the Jukebox. And you already know the rest.

Idk about other bands but at my school they synchronize their dances to the band kind of like the dancers n that'd be a bit hard to do way down somewhere else but it'd also be hard to dance on their own while hearing us in the background so I'm sure it's just a middle ground type of thing
