I live in Ryde and yes it's gloomy... The iOw has the highest suicide rate in the UK..and it's known for a place where people come for affairs and dirty weekends.it really is the Isle of shite! God help us...all

The council here on the iOw is also very corrupt..

I live and work on the Isle of wight- in retail and I don't think that most people are miserable. It's not the most exciting place to live, but if you like the countryside it's lovely most people who come into my shop are cheerful and nice (this bus route is the one I take!)
