You can't trust any stranger really, especially in this day and age. Beware of your surroundings and trust your instincts.

Most of us, even being really young, knew stranger danger in MySpace days. People still made bad choices like adding a ridiculous amount of strangers, but we did know better.
@kirstenornelas881 Жыл бұрын
Now days predators create alter egos, pretend to be kids and teens. They build “friendships” over time. They will even go months to years building “trust” with the victim. Then you lose the whole “stranger danger” and they can get a straight A , sports playing, kind hearted, shy, homebody kid who will barely whisper talking to ppl out and about and barely spend a few days with people they love like grandparents and best friends in real life before going home because they are homesick. These kids are then manipulated into simply walking out of their homes and leaving with the ppl who will then traffic them. They trick them with trips to the beach or to spend a couple days together at some theme park or somewhere fun even making the kid believe this to the point they leave notes promising they aren’t running away, they will be back in a couple days. If you don’t find them in a few days you generally don’t. We are blessed in that our 16 yr old was manipulated in this way “I’ll be home on Monday I promise I’m not running away my friend just has a car and lives by the beach and I really want to go see the beach” this promise was written several times throughout the letter asking us to please not be mad. The same kid who two days prior couldn’t order their own soda because it meant talking to the cashier they didn’t know. I still remember finding that note and trying to keep calm while calming the sheriff’s department. My entire body shaking, barely able to talk. The sheriff himself asked several times, he lives up beat us his kids rode the same bus and he knew my kid and couldn’t believe it himself, everyone took it as a kidnapping from moment one thank everything because many of these cases are treated as a runaway due to the kid leaving on their own. Thankfully extensive research and hard work and the efforts of people who help these kids they no longer see these disappearances as voluntary they see them as manipulative persuasion. For 8 days I didn’t know where my child was, if they were warm, safe, fed, hurt, or even alive. I kept track of everything dang it the kids didn’t even get cell phones until they were teenagers it was the game consoles I missed. Discord. Thanks to the kid finally realizing the danger they were in they were able to trick the abductor who had not hurt them thankfully (this is still terrifying because they did find out my child was going to be sold and Wes worth more unharmed and untouched) and we found my kiddo who is not pale skin like myself, darker hair and eyes five days prior to cinco de Mayo which is when they found out the plan was just just make up false documents and walk across the border for the holiday with my kid. My kid had the kidnapper watching every word texted to my kiddos best friend as they spoke in a code that looked like just teenage chatter. Based on the info in the conversation and his not knowing his number would show up on the best friend’s computer in the left corner we were able to send a photo of that and they found my kid and had her safe five hours later and my kiddo said it was really crazy seeing a swat team. I’m just glad I got to bring my kid home. Some don’t ever get any answers and others find their kiddo just to have to lay them to rest. No parent should ever have to go through any of it. No child should be put through any of that. Thankfully my child has grown and healed and continues to thrive and I’m so thankful. At the same time I met families who so many yrs later still have no answers. Still wondering where their child has gone. Please watch the game consoles too. They are even more dangerous than cell phones and computers in some areas. Nothing is fool proof though, all the open communication we had, how close we were, how intelligent she really is these sick people are manipulative and very good at ensuring they dig their claws into our kids. Be careful out there. You never know what could happen. Please talk to them about not trusting people they don’t actually know in real life. That you have not met personally. It was the worst 8 days I’ve been through.

Geeeeez 11:08 sounds like what happened to me at 7. Riding my damn tricycle the backroads home instead of the main neighborhood roads so I could lose them, I barely had time to park my tricycle between a car in my driveway and my garage in an attempt to hide it (I know it didn’t work) and even though I didn’t have time to get inside I ran to my front porch and hit behind a brick pillar and squatted so the holly bushes would hide my back. I watched as the car finally slowly creeped by my house and finally drove off. I also never told my family until years later. Never went back to the stream with my coloring books and cassette player though.

21:35 It never fails to amaze me just how stupid can you be. Do they seriously think a pair of child kidnappers only ever try kidnaping children once and if it doesn't work out they go "oh shoot, I guess no more kidnapping :("? GIRL. Call the cops, tell them everything you can remember about the men, the car, where it happened, EVERYTHING. Then at least they know there was an attempted kidnapping and they can be on the lookout. The amount of first victims who dont report the incident only the perpetrator goes on to target someone else AND SUCCEEDED because they were better prepared the second time is astonishing. PLEASE report shit like this even if you think the information you have is useless, you can end up saving someone's life.

You do not need to know or remember every detail about a perpetrator to report an incident to the police. That is part of the reason to report the incident so that the police can investigate further.
@perfectlyimperfect9129 Жыл бұрын
12:31 You always tell an adult, If your father was a cop i'm sure he taught you that, You and your brothers are very lucky that something horrible didn't happen to you or your family, but if you would have told somebody, you may have been able to save some other young children from this monster. 18:30 Did you call the police and report the dark figure that was chasing you?! You should always report stuff like that because he could come back or do something horrible to someone else ! 18:49 And just because it's a nice gated area doesn't mean anything, Monsters come in all shaped sizes !! 21:55 It doesn't matter if you can remember what they look like or not At least people would be aware that there were two creeps running around the area trying to kidnap People. It draws me crazy that no one in these stories reported anything to anyone !! 1:01:09 Why would you be afraid of the professor he was helping you, He's somebody you want behind you when there are perverts around. 1:05:46 Always listen When other people tell you something sounds like a bad idea. Always listen to your gut feeling about a person or a situation , Because it's almost always right. 1:33:52 so how is this an attempted kidnapping? Really all it sounds like was too creepy men hating on you , It's really not that scary happens every day when you're a woman really. 1:39:52but you were smart to trust your instincts and avoid Putting yourself in a even worse situation 1:42:39 Why would you ever go back ?! That is not atall smart of any of you !!

Several years ago I was at our local Walmart I'd only went in for a couple things but I've noticed this young guy I've been in every aisle pretty much that I've been in he had no cart no basket at all nothing in his hands I was very aware of him and I think he knew I was aware of him but I went to check out and he stood by the self-checkout as I leave he does to following me and then he starts talkin to me at this point I'm so far ahead of him he's almost yelling he's telling me how beautiful telling me repeatedly I just wanted to let you know how beautiful you are several times he he says I told him thank you once and then speed up walking I noticed he's looking around and I look in the direction where he's looking and there is a pickup that's driving slowly well this is in broad daylight by the I get in my car as quickly as possible as I do this he's running across the the parking lot and he gets in the truck that was driving so slowly I honest-to-god believe that they were getting ready to kidnap me
