Welcome back to the wreath shop. We've had a lot of request to show how to make a large traditional Christmas Tree Topper Bow. I'll give the formula below. Tell me, do you make large bows for the top of your tree?
Tree Topper Bow Formula:
36 loops total
18 loops on each side
7" loops (14 yds)
4 streamers 2 yards long (8yds)
Approximately 25 total yards needed

Hi Julie. I'm decorating 2 outside trees, 3.5 ft each for Christmas. What size would you recommend for the size of the loops of the bows.

Probably 4” loops using 2.5” ribbon and only like 3-5 loops for that small of a tree.

DOES THE HEIGHT OF THE TREE DETERMINE HOW MANY LOOPS ??? TALLER THE TREE MORE LOOPS ????

Yes. If it’s smaller than 5 foot, I would do less. It it’s larger than 7 foot I would do more than one bow. You can always do one on the front and back. If it’s 12 foot tree I would make 3.
