I took home a bunch of bricks and laid a driveway. We have a lot of yellow firebricks, from all the sugar mills, 1800s steam powered factories. Our only pictorial Hutch is a five pointed star. I dug one in 2010. It is a little distorted by melting, but whole & stands up. A pictorial crown has a Trevi fountain nymph & cherubs. I found one in 2009. I did dig one brick with a white glazed side, from a sanitary place, kitchen, operating theater? The dump was capped off in 1931 or so. A sorta shantytown that housed a lot of Waikiki employees was razed & beautified to Ala Moana Park. A lot of irrigation was redone a few years ago, so we hit it.

I love antique bricks . Several years ago when I worked in B'ham they were digging up an alley and I was able to get about 600 bricks , they were all 4x4x8 inches . I lined the flower beds all the way across the front on my home and laid a beautiful side walk . I still have 40 or 50 stacked out back . Did I hear you say one time that you sold some of your bottles .

In regards to the "Febriline" maybe a fever reducer? In medical terms "febrile" indicates a patient having a fever so that's why I was thinking that. Is the rust from metal breaking down or is there just a lot of naturally occurring iron in the soil?

Adventure Archaeology nice that sounds like a great find. I have always considered any soda with pictorial Art Deco regardless of age. So what is the actual name of them? I’ve got them from 1880s-1920s
@adventurearchaeology5 жыл бұрын
Art deco is considered to be 20s into 30s. These are just considered old sodas all dating pre 1915.
@CrickDiggersInc5 жыл бұрын
Adventure Archaeology well Art Deco definitely sounds better than old soda lol. I’ve got old sodas from my town that turn into Art Deco I guess. Both have the horsehead on the bottle just different variations throughout the years. From blob to machine. Good luck out there bud.

We usually rotate after every embossed bottle or every other embossed bottle. It works pretty good. And we have an agreement if something worth more than 1k$ comes out we will split it.
