As someone who lives in the South West, I never knew the 377s (or any mainline stock for that matter) used a whistle instead of a horn, seems odd to hear such an old fashioned sound coming from a modern train.

@@trainsdu4940 I'm not sure as some of them apparently have different horns , but from what I've heard in real life ..375/377 horns have prescense to them 😭I wont be suprised if the other electrostarts have different horns due to the fact that they were made in different time periods .

Looking at the track diagrams for Jubilee sidings it appears there are a set of trap points to prevent unauthorised moves on to the branch line. These will just run the train into the ballast, which it seems it did!

The train was coming out of a siding so it only had the driver on board. And the driver was fine. It's pretty minor and would've been low speed

Pretty sure all 375/6s are equipped with them, but I’m not aware of any section they use with OHLE

Class 375/6s are equipped with pantographs and 3rd rail shoes as they were built for AC and DC

@@chrisstocks7137 this was due to geological events sadly , this one however was likely faulty equipment, or perhaps a driver error
