I was there at one point, I have a pic. I was on the green bridge, I live near there in Tonbridge and watch the trains often.

As someone who lives in the South West, I never knew the 377s (or any mainline stock for that matter) used a whistle instead of a horn, seems odd to hear such an old fashioned sound coming from a modern train.

@@trainsdu4940 I'm not sure as some of them apparently have different horns , but from what I've heard in real life ..375/377 horns have prescense to them 😭I wont be suprised if the other electrostarts have different horns due to the fact that they were made in different time periods .

I think it was a SPAD with the points set away from the direction of the train. But I don't know

Looking at the track diagrams for Jubilee sidings it appears there are a set of trap points to prevent unauthorised moves on to the branch line. These will just run the train into the ballast, which it seems it did!

No they made up of 3 - 4 and 5 car formations

Most weirest thing that i saw this train in service yesterday 13/02/2023 and it still had marks of derailment on it.

Quite a bad derailment... Are there some dead or injured people? It looks like the cause of this is linked to the rail junctions. What was the service of this train?

The train was coming out of a siding so it only had the driver on board. And the driver was fine. It's pretty minor and would've been low speed

These things happen ,takes something out of alignment nobody was hurt and that’s the main thing but try and explain this to customers they think it’s done deliberately .

Pretty sure all 375/6s are equipped with them, but I’m not aware of any section they use with OHLE

Class 375/6s are equipped with pantographs and 3rd rail shoes as they were built for AC and DC

Not a spad, it derailed on a set of points, which were not set correctly.
