Why are the 387's being used for Gatwick express services? they were built specifically for 110mph operation which is impossible on the third rail network.

tsangpogorge Exactly they were better off keeping the 442 it has longer coaches plus it's fastest 3rd rail train[Not Including Dual Voltage]

+Michael Mitchell Some Gatwick Express 387s Are on loan to Thameslink at the moment on Brighton - Bedford services , Should be the end of this month when Gatwick Express start using the 387s on there services.
