the million dollar question why southgate did not bring any LBs with him same can be said on the wing why not any wingers could of gone with eze on the left wing and saka on the right wing and actually bring more lbs instead of an injured luke shaw who will be unfit now personally i would of lined up with ya guehi and stones rb trent lb trippier in the pivot rice as the 6 and any of jude or mainoo as the 8 and foden as the 10 that would of provided the balance but have no other proper lb on the bench or fit

Saka is unequivocally the best attacker bar Jude. He’s been direct when he isn’t double-teamed and efficient with all of his actions. He’s also able to link up with Kane and the midfield and play in a more isolated role. Palmer is a drop off because he’s ass on the wing and can’t influence games like Saka. Palmer is super direct with his passing which is hit and miss and can’t beat his man (gave away the ball 8 times) Foden has been pure shit when he’s not stat-padding on set-pieces. Unbelievably limited and one-dimensional. If he can’t turn and shoot, he’s a liability because he’s an awful creator outside the box (unlike Palmer), terrible in build-up and deep carries (Unlike Jude) and terrible on the wing (Unlike Saka, Palmer is mid) and awful in tight spaces (Unlike Palmer and Saka) Kick him out and play Gordon, who can hold width and stretch the backline.

Saka played his best game at LB. He should stay there and I'm being so honest. I fully believe he's England's best LB when fit. He could be our Alphonso Davies. It was quite refreshing seeing him there instead of Trippier. And if Saka is going to cry about playing LB, he shouldn't be playing for england it's a team sport. Or we can meet in the middle, play a 343, and stick him in that LM/LWB role. We need to get Palmer or Foden at RW. Foden isn't a LW. He's a cam/RW.
