Birthday Ratting

I have been advised by KZbin to include a more description here.
So If you don't want to see invasive feral pest animal being shot, then I suggest that you change the channel now. As this is what my channel is all about. I don't glorify what I do but I do put my videos up for others to watch and enjoy and also to learn from.
Well technically it's not quite my birthday but close enough (2days early).
Bob and I manage to get out for a few hours and bagged ourselves some more rats and 3 cats.
There wasn't as many rats as normal and hopefully that is down to us doing a decent job. We will see next time we come back out to this permission.

6:25 not only your favorite shot, I'd say... at that range - 57 mts, as you said - the bullet doesn't go exactly straight, but drops, a little (obviously, having no spin); in the slo/mo part is clearly seen that. So, that shot was even more difficult... thumbs up 👍.

I have take head shots on rats out to 54 meters but most of my shots are around the 10-30 meters. As for what rifle could I suggest.... not sure what is available to you. Superb marksmanship. What's the name of the design of the Cross Hairs you're using ? I like the subliminal T, like Terminator. You're definitely TERMINATING those pesty bstrds. 😁 Also...the way a round (expanding) was specifically designed for snubsose rev, I'm sure some type of engineering can be made for expanding pellets for Rats. Would be awesome for each shot to vaporize their heads. Keep'em in the Bulls🎯, and keep thinning them out. 👊🏽

Not sure if there is a name for the design of this recticle pattern. It was one of the 6 options in the menu of the ATN 4K Pro. Not sure is vaporizing head would be a good idea, just the excessive blood leakage leave a mess, imagine exploding head messes.

Yes , the scope and range finder are Bluetoothed together. One button press and the target is ranged and the distance entered into the ballistic computer automatically.

The scope I use has an inbuilt ballistic computer so once all the data is inputted into the memory, all I need to do is range the target and place the adjusted cross hairs on what I want to shoot. Cheating yest but effective and that the point.

I hate people who say it is ok to eat pigs, cows and chickens but it is not ok to shoot (poor, cute) wild cats and dogs. Fuck them! Do me a favour: shoot every single rat and cat you can shoot! In my opinion well worth it but you can do it cheaper, work within your budget and look at reviews on any rifle that you think might work. In case any of you are wondering about the damage rats can do. I've had a Sea Ray power boat stored on land for a few seasons now. Went to clean it out last weekend, and found virtually every bilge line, every water line, every drain line, every fuel line, every control cable, and every electrical wire damaged from knawing rats.

Why is that so many, many times is the green or red cross closing on some rat's head, then there is this sound like cocking the gun, the cross then moves...and again to begin to aim? Shouldn't the cocking be done BEFORE even aiming at some rat? For some reason I find that annoying...

Yes this does happen quite a bit and I guess we just forget to reload each and every time. But seeing at there are this many rats, there is more than enough time to take aim again or choose another rat.

Zero hold over. The ATN 4K Pro has an internal ballistic computer, so when teamed up with the ABL1000. one button push and the range is measured and the computer does the rest. All I really have to do is hold the sight picture and squeeze the trigger.

Even thought it is not shown usually I line the shot up and use the laser range finder before I chamber the next pellet. The other reason is, sometimes I need to change the power setting of the rifle. If I have already chambered a pellet, adjusting the power setting can cause damage to the rifle. So I refrain from reloading after each shot hust in case there is this need to alter this power setting.

Translation: Does the crosshairs then load? Very blah blah blah. Response: It is the way that I shoot. most of the time it is so I can use my rangefinder and to see the movement of the target. There are other reasons too but I like it this way and so this is how I shoot.

Ótima Noite,estou cancelando á inscrição, pois não concordo com o flagelo dos pobres felinos pôr entender que são ótimas companhias e muitas pessoas em toda terra abitada tem esses pet sobre sua companhia,aliás na minha opinião, Idosos, Mulheres, Crianças e Cães e Gatos merecem toda nossa proteção, uma coisa é dizimar á população de ratos que são nocivos e transmissores de doenças,gostaria muito de acompanhar o canal, más não posso concordar com isso,tenha uma ótima noite, obrigado.

Response: I can respect you choice and agree that animals need our protection. Which is exactly why we are out shooting cats. These cats are not native to my country and have been abandoned by people to fend for themselves in the wild. This is not their fault but we cannot just let them roam free, as they are decimating the native animals that have no defence against these cats and have more right to be here.
