To me, humor reactions go in order from meh to incredibly hilarious: smirk, lol, smile, snicker, chuckle, laugh, LOL, LM*O and LM**O, and finally... you got knocked down by laughing so hard (gut pain). Although there's also the humor that hits in 3's, chuckle -> big grin -> gut laugh, or even big laugh, chuckle, small laugh, silence to think, gut laugh.
