Being a right handed southpaw, I love being able to step and slip to the left, roll their right hand, then switch to orthodox and drive that right hand. Marvin Hagler taught me well!

I'm a 50+ South paw beginner boxer but have insight, from other previous combat systems, your advice and instruction is top glass, already I'm smashing through the defenses of (with restraint and kindness)some much better boxers than i through unpredictability ( i don't actually know what I'm gonna do next either) and from following your drills, 😎 I'm loving it avoid mc donalds & don't get VaXXterminated, i really appreciate your insights and see the value you have woven into your coaching and drills . Please continue. 😎 All the best, 😎

Fantastic to hear. Great to see you are getting value out of the videos. But I’m sorry my kids like to indulge in McDonalds Chicken nuggets and a small sprite, once in a while.😂😂

Maybe I should start practicing south paw to improve my orthodox stance? I usually use shifting to set up the left hook or overhand left and left body shots. I used south paw 🐾 stance in my novice fights once and it didn’t end well as he put me down. I had no defense for his uppercuts. Need more ring time, sparring before fights to start switching stances effectively. Yet I will practice so I can learn how to fight south paws better. I have improved my shifting GGG left hooks though. Good stuff for me to learn how to fight a south paw.

It won’t hurt to become familiar with fighting as a southpaw.

Thank you for the detailed breakdown. I think I discovered a flaw in my shadow boxing from this instructional. It might not even be there. I normally record my shadow boxing but for some reason I deleted all the rounds in my last session. I normally leave the last few rounds for later analysis to see how I do when exhausted during the 'championship rounds'. Anyway, I am now aware that if I step on the inside unless I punch immediately I should take another step in to avoid the opponent's right. Small detail but I hadn't even thought about it.
@PalacBoxing4 жыл бұрын
K K there are many things you can do when you step to the inside. The key thing you should remember is you don’t want to be predictable. Thanks for watching and leaving your thoughts. I appreciate it.
