Southsea Driveby Side by Side 1983 and 2012

This video combines the 1983 video: • Southsea Driveby 1983 and the 2012 video: • Southsea Drive 2012
Note that some roads have obviously changed and the routes differ slightly so the 2012 video is sped up in some places to match! (Also I've never been to Southsea!)

It's weird to see Portsmouth without the spinnaker tower. It's almost become an icon of the city

This was really good, although I did go a bit cross eyed at times!! That must have taken alot of careful driving & editing to emulate the original footage! Some of the traffic looked more congested in the original film than the newer one!

You should have sped film up to catch up. Was confusing in parts.Pity you didn't go left down Somers Rd as that would have been a good comparison.

its a shame that the focal length of the 2012 camera is so different to the 1983 camera. at times I got annoyed as there were some very obvious landmarks that could have been synced up but were not. good try.
