Southwest Airlines - Full Flight POV: Phoenix, AZ (PHX) to Burbank, CA (BUR)

-Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport to Hollywood Burbank Airport (Bob Hope Airport or Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport)
-PHX to BUR. PHX-BUR.
-Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
-Fun solo partial day round trip. Left home in the East Valley AZ in the morning to Southern California (SoCal), back home in AZ that afternoon!
-My return trip (Burbank to Phoenix/BUR to PHX) came next.
-Daytime, morning to afternoon, quick journey over state lines (AZ to CA) with a rare/alternate (pleasant surprise) approach/landing into Burbank. San Fernando Valley! Near Studio City!
-Inside the gate, taxi to runway, Takeoff (climb & ascent to cruising altitude), flight attendant announcements after surpassing 10,000 feet.
-Snack and drink service, Landing (descent & final approach), touchdown on runway (hard brakes due to the short runway), flight attendant "welcome" announcements, taxi to the gate, parking. Departure and arrival!
-Awesome views [behind the wing, window seat] of: Sky Harbor runways & terminals, Camelback Mountain, Papago Park, Scottsdale, Tempe, Salt River, 101 loop freeway, 202 loop freeway, Mesa/Gilbert/Chandler, Interstate 10 freeway south towards Casa Grande and Tucson, South Mountain, Estrella Mountain, Buckeye, Quartzsite, AZ/CA state line and the Colorado River, Blythe, Salton Sea, Palm Springs, Mount San Jacinto peak, 60 freeway/215 freeway/91 freeway, San Bernardino, Moreno Valley, March Air Reserve Base, Riverside & Corona & Lake Elsinore ALL to the south in the distance, California Speedway (Auto Club Speedway) in Fontana, Interstate 15 freeway, Santa Ana Mountains to south in distance, Ontario International Airport (ONT) below, Pomona, 71 freeway, San Dimas, Orange County to the south in the distance, downtown Los Angeles (L.A.!, La La Land!), Dodger stadium, Pasadena and Glendale, Hollywood Hills, Studio City, 101 freeway, 210 freeway, Verdugo Mountains, Interstate 5 freeway.

Hmm, very interesting landing path! I have lived in the Glendale/Burbank area for a while and have never seen planes fly over the Verdugo Mountains on approach into BUR. When I was 10, I *think* I remember seeing a low-flying plane over Downtown Burbank as if it was going to land on Rwy 26. Being an aviation nerd, I guess I have never seen a plane land on Rwy 15 at BUR while approaching from the south side of Angeles Mountains!
