5:24 *"Tools In Action"* The perfect description for the two guys in this video.

I know this is an old video but I'm hoping somebody knowledgeable will answer me. So I just bought one these and basically what I'm wanting to know is if I can leave it plugged in continuously for 3 or 4 months. What I'm doing with it is I had a metal garage built at my lake cabin and instead of wiring it i ran a 30 amp RV extension cord from my outdoor electric box and buried it to have electricity inside the garage. And basically the only thing that's going to be running during spring to early fall is two mini refrigerators when I'm not at the campsite. Thanks

Could I use this with my live sound and DJ equipment?

Also pretty good for a band powering all their equipment at various bars??

I like these power distribution boxes, though I've mostly used them with generators. It's quite nice to have the genset as far away as possible. Keeps the noise and the exhaust down. I think what gives me a chuckle about this item is that it's cheap compared to the extension cord you need to run it at a distance. $320 or $466 for the 50A cord in 50 or 100 foot lengths from the box's manufacturer. Honestly, if you're already looking at spending the $ for the cord and the box, I'd strongly suggest the full size extreme box. Sure, it's an extra $300 over the mini. However, what you get for that extra $$ is individual GFCI for each outlet, NEMA rated outlet covers(better for adverse conditions), pass-through capability to daisy chain multiple units, and an outlet rated at 250v/30A.

Looking forward to you guys talking about the Klein 21051 and 21050 cable strippers. I know you guys are sponsored by Klein and as electrician I think these are tools you need to be talking about there pretty sweet and offer a really good value compared to other tools on the market.

How do you change

I don't get it. Other than using it with a generator, who has a 4-prong L14-30R locking receptacle on their dryer or range? It costs $150 and doesn't even come with a power cord. It has (8) 20-AMP 120V receptacles but with a feed of 220V/30A you would not be able to use them all. If you have a generator capable of running this box chances are it already has a few 120V/20A receptacles that you might as well just use directly. The key to using extension cords is to use the proper wire gauge. A 12 gauge 100 ft extension cord will run virtually any power tool.

Looks good. It might need more stress testing. I can volunteer to work it hard if you will send me one. I'll test it for free. Wink, wink!! And record the results for you guys!!

Ican see many opportunities where the "High Fly" transportation feature would come in handy. It really sucks to carry stuff up and down stairs. #TIACREW

Silly question. Does anyone make something similar to this for 110V? I need a box that will trip first so I don't trip the customers breakers in their house
@yermoffroad6 жыл бұрын
Yep. Just Google circuit breaker extension cord. Lowes has a 25 amp black 4 gang one
@eosjoe5656 жыл бұрын
The problem is that unless you use an extension cord with a lower amperage breaker than the circuit in the house there is no guarantee it will trip before the breaker in the main box.
