I don’t think most people realize how difficult it is to become a game warden. I suppose requirements vary from state to state. My daughter was a game warden in New Mexico, she had a 4 year degree in fisheries and wildlife science, then had to attend the academy. She got too homesick for Texas, came home and is now a police K9 officer and loves it. These FWC often work alone, and backup is not readily available as in towns and cities. Great video!

However you are required to identify yourself nothing to do with ID and everything to do with identifying yourself if you are caught committing a crime. Meth head was caught in three crimes possession of alcohol littering and fishing without a license. Under those circumstances he is required by law to identify himself and identifying himself has nothing to do with carrying an ID. We found a great campsite in the Mojave Desert, once. We were there for a little dirt biking. A ranger showed up right away started screaming at us, because of the condition of the area. It looked like a Russian rear position. Trash blowing everywhere. Smouldering campfire. We told him, whoa! Whoa! We just arrived here and we're cleaning it up, lifting our trash bags up. He said" "Oh, sorry about that, thanks." It's disrespectful to your fellow campers. Disrespectful to the Rangers and more importantly, disrespectful of our planet in general. The coolest thing is that we know exactly where this park is and the date. Air ambulances are easy to track, even in history. Somebody with nothing to do for a few minutes could fairly easily retrieve the records for that date and location and poke around a few days into the past and see if there actually was any nearby air ambulance activity, or whether he just made it all up.
