Doesn’t she effectively acknowledge jurisdiction, by showing up in court? As one particularly wise judge noted, “If I thought this court didn’t have jurisdiction, I wouldn’t even show up.” This, of course leads the inevitable question of, “If this court doesn’t have jurisdiction, how can it dismiss the charge?” As for proving jurisdiction, no judge facing a Sovereign Citizen has ever said it better, than a judge in Kentucky, who told a defendant, “I can very easily prove jurisdiction, by having you taken into custody.”

I enjoyed this. The judge was actually laughing, and enjoying himself. Sovcits always saying they have a right to travel. Although the Constitution specifically doesn’t point out the right to travel, you have the freedom of movement between states. However, driving is a privilege, not a right. States have laws that require one to have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and vehicle registration. The 10th Amendment gives the state the power to enact their own laws and enforce them. Sovcits fail to understand that, and often get into all kinds of legal trouble.

I was watching the next matter after 'Sovereign Citizen Court Fail #40' on the Judge's KZbin channel. The Judge was still amused with what transpired. During a lull in proceedings, he channeled his inner Oprah and remarked "You've got a right to travel! And you've got a right to travel! Everybody's got the right to travel! Everybody! Look under your chairs!" He then mentioned that he's seen these sort of Sov-Cit arguments over the past 20 years?

Out of all the judges I've seen, Judge Simpson would be near the top of my list to have a beer or two with, just because it seems like he has such a hilarious yet erudite gent when he lets his hair or guard down. Judge Simpson would also be near the top of my list of judges I wouldn't want to face in a debate, on any topic, simply because I'm sure he would destroy me (and very subtly insult me, in ways that I'd miss) before I knew what was happening, all with a glint of amusement... Only to drop everything and be a great gent and honorable victor once the contest ended.

If I pay to use a private road, I can use it. That’s what payment means. I really enjoy these court videos. They are much more satisfying then the ones of the sovereign citizens receiving tickets. It does seem however that there are lot more sovereign citizens wanting to represent themselves (or as in this case seek to represent them pro se) after their public refuses to offer up a ridiculous defense such as ”traveling” when they know that it won’t be considered. It has to be excruciatingly painful for Mike to,watch defendants represent themselves and think they know what they are doing, when in fact you could have the greatest defense argument in the world, but it doesn’t help if you don’t understand court practice or procedure so as to be able to get your argument to be considered by the judge. Case in point was the defendants argument that the court did not have jurisdiction over her. As the judge explained her that her matter of jurisdiction needed to be in writing so he could rule in it and later appeal the judges decision. I honestly think that some people believe that if they resend to understand the law, the police,or the court will be intimidated and back down, unfortunately what really happens it it slows down the entire process, and the judge has to walk a razor thin line of giving legal advice to the defendant so that the case can move forward, when none of this non such would be necessary if they just listened to their public defender ,
