Basically intellectual humility to the point of claiming not to understand, which leads the person speaking to bury themselves in their own stupidity. It’s like an UNO reverse card debate maneuver. “I’m just a simple, man. There seems to be a failure to communicate on my part. Can you explain what you mean? I’m apparently too dumb to understand your position.” Type thing. I think what he’s doing is intentional. lol Edit: “southern hospitality” can be ninjas like passive aggressive. “Bless his heart.” 🙃.

@@jackson_68 Ah, finally, that makes sense! I couldn't figure out how his proposed remedy would benefit him. It sounded like he was basically saying "In exchange for me pleading guilty, you can take any fines out of my account," which seemed like something the court could do anyway. Essentially the same as "I'll plead guilty on this criminal charge if, in exchange, you agree to put me in jail." But if he's saying "I'll plead guilty as long as you leave my *normal* bank account alone and you take the money out of the *secret* account you have in my name," then it all makes sense.
