Marijuana should not be a crime anywhere, especially a felony. This needs to be treated as if it was tobacco smuggling into facility. Felony charge for this is insane and dumb. Imagine if the public turned on caffeine due to a new study and treated coffee drinkers and soda drinkers the same way you treat us?

​@Morristown337 I think you misunderstood the charge. The charge was smuggling Contraband into a Detention Facility. The charge would be the same whether it was marijuana, a cell phone, or unsanctioned chocolate bars. Smuggling ANYTHING into a jail is a felony in almost every jurisdiction.

Unfortunately I have seen this first hand and no the difference is bringing tobacco in is a misdameanor and they are charging her with a felony because it is weed. Everyone in my county is expected to bring in tobacco to be able to get into a cell and not sleep in the floor of the hallway in the block. Getting caught with tobacco is going to the hole but no court. Weed is court. @@CanadaMatt

The drugs are usually fronted. Given to them for "free", to deliver, receive payment, and get paid from that. I say "free" because they are risking their own, & their families, lives if they steal it or get caught. Usually, if they get caught, they have a chance to repay them. But if they're in prison it can fall on family, who may or may not even have known

The first words out of every judge SHOULD be “sit TF down, adult TF up, show your face on the screen, and talk in a clear & concise manner!
