Yeah. These people really need to stop. If they want to play journalist, they can follow every rule that real journalists have to follow. Meaning they’d get permission to record inside public buildings sometime before going to those buildings instead of just showing up and recording, avoid harassing people, avoid recording people who don’t want to be recorded (it’s not illegal, but a professional journalist will avoid recording people who tell them they don’t want to be recorded), avoid recording other people’s children (even if it’s not illegal, you still shouldn’t do it. At least not without blurring the faces of the children), they’d read ALL of Poster 7 instead of just the part that benefits their narrative, and they’d avoid acting unprofessional. If they don’t want to do that, they shouldn’t even think about pretending to be journalists. Unfortunately, I think all of that requires a certain amount of maturity that they don’t have. Of course, they’re free to prove me wrong about their maturity being too low. If someone’s gonna play journalist, I’m gonna hold them to the same standards I hold real journalists to.

Curious that the officer was saying that only one of them could enter, so is that directed at them in particular or the populace as a whole, for social distancing reasons? I'd not like to presume but I was kind of gently assuming that the officer wanted to have a general idea of why, where and what would they be getting up to - such as 'going in to pay a fine/ticket' which would be a legit reason, as would 'going to observe a case'. Whereas, 'going to make an absolute tool of myself' would not really be a good enough reason to pass!

As such judges can do pretty much anything they want, they are literally the lords of their domains and they answer to virtually no one. I had to drop some papers off and I was asked questions - just basic like ‘what is your business in the courthouse today?’ While I was waiting for my turn at the desk, a few other people were also asked the exact same question. Answers ranged from ‘I have a court appearance, I want to attend a court, I would like to enter the public gallery etc. In the uk we have terrorism laws that mean YES the court officials, i.e. security, can and do ask what your business is. They aren’t asking for names or medical history!! I believe if you want to enter the public gallery you must give a name and phone number - this is for fire safety in the event of an evacuation of the building…

Courthouses are kind of interesting. The law is the chief judge. He/she is responsible for the safety of the occupants, so whatever rules he makes supercedes just about everything. Like for instance, you want some public records which is your right by state law, but if you won't go through the security in front, you can't get them.

Ideally, you don’t want to tase a driver when the vehicle is in drive. They could easily have a muscle spasm, floor the accelerator & take off with no control… no bueno. Also I hope they picked up the stop stick!

The deputies should have told them that they had an order from the court and if they continued to try and violate the order arrested them

Thank God you stopped the “semi-serious” channel. What fun would that be? Thank you for all the entertainment Mike! Another channel hosted the P. Barnes award of the year. You could start a “most cringeworthy voice award.” This woman would be in the top 5. 😂
