The CVC section she is referring to - 21052 - is simply clarifying that state employees and state vehicles have to abide by the vehicle code too. If it meant it ONLY applies to state employees, it would use the the word ONLY or EXCLUSIVELY. There are sections following 21052 that deal with its applicability to emergency vehicles, physicians, garbage trucks, street sweepers. As Mike points out, CVC section 4000 sets forth registration requirements, and section 15200 deals with Drivers Licenses. It’s not clear to me whether people like Figg know this and simply using the section 21052 out of context and relying on the Ignorance of their audience in order to further their own agenda, or whether they are so dumb that they really think they’ve found a loophole in the law.

Not out of context the loophole exists. She passed away in a plane crash under dubious circumstances. @Pat Luxor Please show me where it says that. I think you have misread or misinterpreted Sec 260 a and b. Section A defines Commercial Vehicles and requires them to be registered. But that's all it says...it does not state that such non-commercial vehicles don't have to be registered...
@marcwilson18102 жыл бұрын
@Pat Luxor 260. (a) A “commercial vehicle” is a motor vehicle of a type required to be registered under this code used or maintained for the transportation of persons for hire, compensation, or profit or designed, used, or maintained primarily for the transportation of property. (b) Passenger vehicles and house cars that are not used for the transportation of persons for hire, compensation, or profit are not commercial vehicles. Here in Texas, my license plate costs $76 and I can get it renewed at pretty much any grocery store. As for the driver's license, that's $25 and lasts for six years plus you can renew it online once, so you only have to go to the DMV once every 12 years. Get three women who are among the leadership of Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Sit them down in a quaint, neutral domestic setting, with tea and crackers, and Jacquie Figg. Then listen to Jacquie Figg attempt to explain *to them* how our roads should be an unregulated boundless no-man's-land. Let's put fundamentalist ideology and dogma on the shelf and instead discuss what actually matters here.

I call bullshit. As you say, show the letter. Best way to travel without a license is to walk or take the bus. Best way to deregulate a car is to sell it or take it off the road, remove the wheels and use it as a planter for some pretty flowers. This woman, to use a UK aphorism which she will understand is spouting bollocks. If a US cop can’t find someone “in the system” speaking with a strong English accent and then he’d be on the phone to immigration. So things DID catch up with her, on her own admission. Again, complete bull crap.

Not sure how she missed : (a) A person may not drive a motor vehicle upon a highway, unless the person then holds a valid driver’s license issued under this code, except those persons who are expressly exempted under this code. She seems to think that "a) A “commercial vehicle” is a motor vehicle of a type required to be registered under this code " means motor vehicles are commercial, nope, which is why the code spends so much time telling people that certain other vehicles such as quad bikes and campers are also motor vehicles.

It's crazy how effectively sovereign citizen tactics produce angry responses from cops and judges. It seems like a feature of the system, not a bug. And just think how stupid that is, not only is it legally nonsense, but it's designed to aggravate everyone in authority as well. I feel like it must have started as some kind of practical joke to get someone thrown in prison.

Ultimately it's an honor game and under the common law, a duel to the death is the acceptable means to settle a controversy. This is basic law before there was a legal profession. Everything under the law is by mutual consent and agreement, if there is none then you have a controversy. People actually had duels to the death for grievances.. and that's why most courts today appear to settle "Petty" controversies today. The civil war is one of those disagreements settled under common law. People actually died. In the modern courtroom you have a gay bar attorney championing your cause without any liability to you if he loses. Frankly, I think the attorney should have a share of the loss if he loses.
@brutusmaximus53803 жыл бұрын
A sovereign citizen is a police officer, Gov representative... those people who act as government are sovereign and citizens of the U.S. The terms sovereign and citizen negate each other so you can't be both.

Ya know, it's a real pain that we all have to pay for insurance, tags and registration. HOWEVER, none of us own the roads, highways and interstates. We pay taxes to allow us the privilege to drive on those roads. We also MUST be responsible for harm and damage which could occur to others due to our vehicle operation. Short story, I live in SC and 22 years ago a person was driving her van with bald tires. After it had rained a few minutes, her van started sliding across the highway we collided. As a result I was BADLY injured and have lived with severe chronic pain since. She opted to buy the absolute minimum amount of insurance required in SC. I could not resume my job as a system engineer and had to give up my very nice, high paying job. Fortunately, we had other finances and savings and are OK financially. Even though we have not suffered financially, I spend every day of my life in pain. I no longer remember what it's like to feel good. So, I get very upset at this kind of BULL S#IT and I hope the laws become even more specific and clear in that if YOU are going to drive on the roads we all pay for, you WILL BE FINANCIALLY and LEGALLY RESPONSIBLE. The woman who caused my accident did not start her day planning on ruining my life but she did.

And your story is the exact kind that these "sovcit" fundamentalists repeatedly, consistently ignore in lieu of pontificating about their personal interpretations of their alleged "rights" and "liberty". This woman claims to have rights that are undeniable and even able to trump the rights of others. Without valid license, registration, and especially insurance, everybody else on the road is at a disadvantage when she has an accident. Try and sue for your damages because the motorist who hit you has no way of paying to fix your vehicle. Moreover, she loves using semantics to bolster her case. Simply changing definitions of words so they fit your agenda is a trick as old as language itself. Most despicable though is the fact she outright lies when she claims the courts saw the folly of their ways, and dropped all charges when she merely showed the court the error of its ways as pertaining to her case. We have seen time an again on Mike’s channel these people always fail miserably with their arguments, and more often then not pay for their folly with jail terms and fines. The trash she is spouting isn’t something new as I first heard someone use the same arguments here in Canada in 1975. He was holding public seminars to curious, and gullible people in cities across Canada including not having to pay taxes. I believe he was eventually tried and convicted but I forget the actual charges.

I used to do criminal defense about a decade ago and would get a smattering of VC 4000 type cases. Usually an additional count on a DUI. This whole “no license needed” front is a last ditch effort for someone who has delinquent support obligations, multiple DUIs and cannot drive or simply has so many warrants they could never conceivably clear them all in order to have the DMV reinstate them. Based upon Figg’s theory, ANYONE can travel by means of their automobile without a license, even my 7 year old. I am just confounded as to how this makes any sense to these people. They are really ignorant or desperate, I can’t tell.

Take all the points that these people hide behind, all the claims, cases that prove whatever, and point out how wrong they are openly for everyone to see so they can't make these claims anymore.
