The upper armories are great for a base! Next to unraidable and you’ll have the drake as watch dog (he respawns) Btw, durins axe icons will only appear if you found & opened the chests of Balins company. A lot of missing armor pieces are in the muznakan shrines (helmets & shields) scattered around… I laughed so hard watching the drake fight😂 but now the real fun begins!!

Nice vid, you did way better with the drake than I did. I ended up putting adamant archways in to block it then firing through them to kill it. Also it will respawn so you can farm scales from it. It doesn't look like you have anything planted in the farm plots. Since you have a lamp near them mushrooms won't grow in them, but the oats, potatoes, mint and stuff like that will grow in them, use the scroll wheel to pick which thing you want to plant and then tap "E". Don't pick them until you have 4 in each square then when you harvest them plant one back.

It does respawn? Did not in my "normal" game so far and I already spent days and days killing orcs and worgens in the bastion above ... but these camps are though. Especially the orcs in full plate. Didn't figure out yet how to handle them correctly. At least I don't recognize the attack pattern they use. They attack quite fast, kick you back either with their foot or their hand and spawn further mobs around you. If you are at range, they shoot arrows like every second at you, which deal a ton of damage --- edit: oh, the respawn might be tight to his nest, similar to orcs and their flag. When the nest gets destroyed this might prevent the respawn. In my first attempt it destroyed its nest while trying to hit me and maybe that's why the drake isn't respawning

I figured out you can repair during battle. During the Orc town boss I built a camp and repair station before I went in and kept repairing when I needed to. I do that before every tough enemy now. 😂

That is my fav helm in this game, I pair it with the rams head shield along with the Khazad armor and maul because it looks so dwarvey. Hint: Some armor pieces can only be discovered if you fully restore the muznakans of the ancestors of that area. Shadow orcs do shadow build up and get buffed in the shadows. Save the drake scales unless you set up a way to farm them, don't destroy the nest and the drake will respawn. I've really enjoyed this game, pretty much all of it, looking forward to coop.

A good tip ahead before I start watching this; ...do not make my mistake and stick with first age weapons throughout the entirety of dwarrowdelf. As soon as you unlock the new forge and smithy recipes, BUILD THOSE. I made the mistake of assuming I'd need Durin's Forge to make Khuzdul Ingots (for the next tier armour/equipment) - you dont. You just need the new forge n smithy you can build at home (x So my dumbass ran around Dwarrowdelf and Desolation with horribly underlevelled equipment for the area and decided to go straight for the second-highest tier armour instead (completely missing the point that Khuzdul was supposed to be my next one x_x) Here come the edits! (x I just love the songs when singing to Durin's statues - especially the one to Durin's Lamps. Your first interaction with the Shadow Orcs was an interesting one too. You're going to love Durin's Forge for those lads specifically! And you completely missed Gandalf's Hat on the lil bit of quarts on the stairs (x Your reaction to the drake was just about the same as mine, hah. sneaky lil bugger scared me even worse than the Watcher did. Thankfully, the drakes arent too common (at least, they werent on my seed) - but Mythril will be your friend when it comes to fighting them.
@SovereignRPG2 ай бұрын
Haha yea I actually made that mistake a little bit. Ive had soooo many drakes. They even started raiding me.... My seed hates me haha. The songs are amazing I love them.

This is why I read the comments, to glean advice from smarter players. Thanks, I was almost about to make that mistake. Now if they could make private servers with a scaled up version of Return to Moria for 3-25 players. Similar to MC p-servers Spitball idea.

@@SovereignRPG best place to build to counter raids is the lake where you defeated the sea monster. You need to use piers to lay out the foundation and then can build on top of it. Only flying mobs can reach you then unless you make a direct bridge to the middle section that is half under water. Raids will still show up, but they either wait on the middle section just starring and shouting or on the stairs side were you go up to the lake. Only bats and moths can reach you there. Moths will usually attack you if you have that light equipped, otherwise they usually ignore you. Bats usually come in addition to orc groups. I always hope to find some as I probably had like 20-30 at most in my game so far and thus lack the dirt to craft more of the planters ...

Having a sunstone lamp can also help your plants grow underground.
@heavyhebrew2 ай бұрын
works well in the depths where no sunlight ever shines
@Kessra2 ай бұрын
yeah, the radius of the light is actually quite large and you can fit like 10+ of those 3 planters easily under one lamp. I had to move the lamp even further back as I also wanted to grow shrooms which only grow in dark or semi-dark areas. But towards the end wheat is probably the stuff that you will grow the most as some of the mobs in the higher areas are actually really hard and wheat is used for a lot of things
@stevemarston86682 ай бұрын
Farming isnt to complicated, each plant needs a different light level and then it will grow 1 plant a day up to 3 or 4 then harvest. you just need to sleep more often. to help hit flying enemies middle mouse click them. the fire, ice and thunder effects only happen with your heavy attacks
@SovereignRPG2 ай бұрын
It took me a while to figure that part out. I should sleep more often to be honest. But at the moment not sure what the issue is Im tired all the time. So I am sleeping a lot. And thanks for the info on the heavy attacks I did not know that at all.

Wouldn't it be great if they expanded the songs to pre-battle songs, or exploration songs? The idea of dwarf songs as buffs, such a good idea.

@SovereignRPG2 ай бұрын
I pick up the resolve ones I do have a load at the base. And I do really need to build the upgraded backpack I keep forgetting to do it :(
@Kessra2 ай бұрын
I just horde them for no particular reason. Maybe on harder difficulty than normal they have to be used. I usually build those wooden panels on top of those and call it done. If there is a shrine to rebuild I do that and remove the wood afterwards. No big deal. Where resistence though matters is down deep under where there is no light and you face sonstant despair, even when you build a camp and the like. Here more resistances, better armor and the food that restores health over time are quite helpful. But the longer you're down under the more damage you will take over time and thus you can't stay down there for long anyway.

I don't get why you didn't kite the drake back to the entrance where it can't fit through. At one point it will turn back and move to the middle of the room again, that's when you attack it once again and then hide in the wall again. If you're lucky he even glitches out and you can throw melee attacks at him. Also a tip in general. If you slightly mine upwards you leave a wall at the inner side of the room which mobs usually can't pass and they will just stand in front waiting to get murdered. Unless mobs can switch to range attacks, they literally can't hurt you then.
