Before i built in durins forge i added my own floors because i agree, games need more usable brooms. you can see the mithril when you walked over the dark deep there at the end lol

About cranberries, there is one room in the Western Gate-area, the first one with the Doors of Durin, that has been named the "Cranberrie House", it's multi-tiered with one big mostly ruined house in the middle. There's shallow water at the bottom where lots of cranberries grow usually. You can olso find them in the water near the first tutorial camp, Ori's Outpost.

I have noticed that with fast travel, the more far away the two points are in fast traveling, the more stamina is used.

Fast traveling in this game is not seen as teleporting (from what i have read on reddit), like in other games. When fast traveling, it's just skipping time. So your charachter is actually just walking/running in between the travel points. With that comes fatigue like you would normally have. That's why your stamina drops, and you get tired easily. What i have found helped is having the materials for a camp, table and bed. So when you're planning on having a longer journey, you sleep and eat once you have travelled (or use the energy brewing ale). That way you'll always be fresh. Especially handy before raiding or doing a boss fight.

Cranberries. In the beginning of the game…as your heading to the elven area you encounter a pond/pool area there are 3 planting boxes. And there are 4 cranberries patches in the water. Also. After your fix the steps and climb up into the area with all the trolls. Behind one of the gold ore mines is a hidden area. There are 5 or 6 cranberries patches in a small pool. I just drop a teleport at each one and hit them up from time to time.

I just jump into the game to get more specific. 1st patch - WESTGATE AREA 2nd patch - in Dwarrowdelf (upper city) after you fight the troll walk around looking for his gold piles. The gold will be covered by the dark essence. Right next to it is a good ire patch. It right behind it.

TIP: You can carry the forge parts while climbing a ladder. Try making a Rope Ladder next time.

I have recently started playing this again due to these videos and I'm having great fun. With my recent build i have found that you can build your hearths in the walls (so they can't be seen) with a little bit of jigging around. This frees up a lot of extra room to build in. Not sure if this is common knowledge but a cool little trick. *EDIT* Also if doing this its best to build in tall walls and not under stairs as you can see flames and smoke coming through and once done you can't destroy them as they're no longer accessible.

If you go to that big room you said you wanted to build in, theres a ranger camp, you can get the mirovar healing brew which will out heal despair when you are in deeps getting mithril

Just so you know, when you do beat this, you may want to try out the Sandbox mode. There are more crafting recipes to unlock in it from what I've seen plus some new environments.

The teleport system is just a faster way to travel but it still takes into account going from place to place which is why it takes stam and energy. Cause you are still traveling from place to place so that's why you lose stam whenever you travel by travel stone. Not the best explanation but just letting you know it's working as intended.

You can also put in new flooring, just lift it a little higher than the rubble. The new gold floor is pretty badass tbh.

Thanks!. Can you stack the flooring on top of eachother do you know? And it wont effect structural integrity. I used flooring to cover the dirty floors it was grey so was stable until I placed a wall on it. Then it all collapsed :(

Off topic, but I read something about the darkest deeps, starting to wonder if the more lamps of durin you light that it lessons the despair down in the deeps… could be wrong but will try to test, unless there’s some confirmation from anyone?

The only thing that helps in the darkest deeps is pale dawn ale or miruvor (heals faster than taking dmg). No hearth, lamp or torch helps The helmets are NOT cosmetic!! But their tier doesnt really matter

Yes its always underground and always quite dark. It lights up in certain areas but for the most part you are wading through darkness
