What isn't fair is that the ONLY 'Is' with anything other then a 20 second reload is the premium is6 .... That's the only thing that holds these tanks back is the huge ass reload

​@@JuiceJedanJedini The T-10 could reload in around 10-12s while the IS-2, IS-4 and IS-6 could go as low as 15s with the IS-3 having the longest reload of around 20s thanks to having the least amount of space in the turret. Meanwhile in game the IS-3 actually has the second shortest reload only being beaten by the IS-6.

@@sashingopaul3111 What 120mm tank are you referring to? Also gun caliber doesn't necessarily say anything about reload. Modern 120mm can outreload WW2 76mm thanks to the internal layout or weight of the round. Turret space alone isn't everything that matter when you look at the Firefly it may have a Sherman turret but the layout is much worse so the reload suffers quite a lot

i consider myself an IS heavy fanboy. it all started when i got the kv-122 and started grinding russia. absolutely fell in love with the 122mm cannon. regardless of reload speed. then i seen the is-6 and fell in love at first sight. it is (or was) and absolute MONSTER when it was 7.0. id net like 5-9 kills per game as long as i wasnt uptiered. 100k+ silver lions per game. it was my money maker. to this day i have over 1600 kills with it. and yes i play all of the other IS tanks (or did play the is-2 back when it was 5.7). but mainly had the is-3 and is-6 in my lineup. theres something different about them. everybody knows a tigers weak spots but few know the is-3 and is-6 weak spots (pro tip: is-6 really only has 1 weak spot and its really tiny) the is-6 will bounce everything and anything thats not heatfs or apfsds (and hesh). the is-6 is hands down my favorite tank in the game (and i have basically all of american and russian ground at this point). back when the is-6 was 7.0, i gifted it to multiple people and thay fell in love too. i would have argued that it was the best premium to get for newer players simply because it is or was an extremely forgiving tank. as of last week, my heart hurts. they neutered it. i could live with it being 7.3 but 7.7 is a bit excessive. its honestly my least favorite change theyve ever made in my 9 years of playing war thunder. im quite pissed tbh. a full uptier means fighting an entire enemy team with stabilizer and heatfs/apfsds. IT DOES NOT DESERVE THAT! all of the other heavy tanks minus the is-4m (because the armor on that rivals a maus) are a lower battle rating. why cant it play with the others instead of being in a league of its own next to the is-4m. sure its quick, sure the reload is faster, sure its got godly armor, but it already faced heatfs and uptiers meant it would see apfsds AT 7.3!!!! its got no gun depression and the cannon (will 1 shot anything IF you pen) is mediocre for 7.3/7.7. WHY GAIJIN??!!

Guys , i got about 370 battles with the is4m , i almost main 7.7 ussr , and always played the 471D , i'm dumb , that's why i bounce on leopards and non pen m41 turrets ... However there's not that much of a diff in pen , only at 60° at 2km and trust me i dont really snipe , i think ? So maybe that's why i dont see the diff

Personally, the IS-2s in the China tree are now unplayable for me. 99% of the time you face uptiers and your 122mm is less reliable because you can face soviet tanks which actually have armor that negates your gun. Like, wtf am I supposed to do against IS-6, IS-3, IS-4M, Maus, T-54?

👍. Haven’t got it. Definitely not getting it now it’s sitting at 7.7. All gaijin have done with this silly br decom. Is just moved up tanks that u could argue have a bit of armour & half decent gun. Made them useless. Under the current gaijin meta. It will see more 8.3 - 8.7 matches way more then 7.7 - 8. But that just going off my match making…. Really I would put this at 6.7, 7.0. Yeah it has armour at those lower br’s, but at 7.7 n above. It’s lost its armour its gun is ok at those higher br’s I guess. Most things except China it will go through easily been ussr. Even tho they have increased the br of a lot of vehicles, they haven’t bothered to increase their rewards to match that br or even bothered to move them up in rank where required! Plus with the cost of it. Definitely not worth buying now!

Yes i think the 7.7 br is if anything a little low for it. Aphe, and the russian bias makes it a very strong tank. Considering conquerer is 7.7... which is slower and has worse armour. And no aphe.... fair...
