Soviet October Revolution Parade, 1967 Парад 7 Ноября

This is the parade on Moscow's Red Square devoted to the 50th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution, 7 November 1967. This special 50th anniversary parade would feature troops dressed up as historical units from the October Revolution and Russian civil war era. Taking the salute is newly appointed Soviet Defense Minister, Marshal of the Soviet Union Andrei Grechko. Commanding the parade is First Deputy Commander of the Moscow Military District, Colonel General Ivanovski.

Про Польшу не помню при каких обстоятельствах они отошли...

I like the uniforms that predate the western tradition of shirt and tie. Here the soldiers are wearing tunic style with button collar . Much more Russuan in my opinion. Also the marching soldiers with the rifles and bayonet held to the hip as though in a bayonet charge . That is a stance that is unique to Russian marches The introductory propaganda imagery is so well presented . The Potemkin is featured and the fast pan of steps invokes the Edinstein film of the Russian place guard' massacre of the the Celebratory citizens

@@robertbrawley5048 well, 1974 October Revolution parade was the first one in colour version and not in black and white version. The other short length videos you see from 1967 were also black and white. They are just being colourised with some help from Modern technology.

Of course Breznev does a lot of bad things such as: Spend too much money in military instead of spend them in economic developments,war with Afghanistan,etc...
