Its a cool plane, but I am not quite sure I will do any spaceplanes in this career. After landing cosmonauts on the moon, I may give it a consideration.

love the practicality of low payload to orbit launch vehicles, but something i rarely see explored, is perhaps something not even considered by the soviets, are there any soviet solid boosters that fit the same size and thrust as say the Delta II radial srbs? basically the "slight boost off the pad and for about a minute" srb's, not something like the titan 3 or 4 "stage 0" style of srbs

It doesn't seem that RP-1 has any soviet solids in the tech tree, and likely because they didn't develop them. Would think it world make for a decent molniya or geosat launcher

Wonderful episode! Glad to see Luna-3 survive and orbit the Moon. I think the KOSMOS looks cool, I imagine it will be able to handle all satellites necessary for the contract(s). Do you see KOSMOS variations being used in future for other satellites, or will it be retired completely for a newer design?

For this playthrough, I suspect it will retire in about 5 years. It will likely struggle past early Molniya orbits and a larger Titan II equivalent launcher will take it's place.

Funny enough, it hit me about the cyrillic 2 weeks ago. But I've already filmed up to 1961, so it will be 4 episodes before that correction is made. Good call-out though. I'll try to expand on the research unlock choices for future episodes

Yup, though long enough to get a good chunk of science. I think I saw it still alive in my kerbalism window when recording 1961, but it might have decayed.
